Not much, my tastes stayed the same, although I have been buying less items this year. I have many items now and as I try to use them all, buying many more isn't very much justified.
Kaboku sencha this morning.

Definitely not.
I still like severe, functional, no-frills design regarding teaware.. and regarding a lot of other stuff indeed... and I'm sure to go on this way in the future.
Sometimes odd items tempt me, but their lure always dwindles away before the checkout step.
yunnan pure gold (again) this morning.

No changes here, although I haven't bought any new teaware in awhile (except for that glass tea thermos that I use at work). Mostly yixing pots and gaiwans. If I were to buy anything now, it would probably be some special cups for drinking from.
Then again, I suffered my first teaware casualty yesterday, as I chipped off a piece of the lid of a really nice gaiwan. So sad. Maybe I should change my TeaKlutz vote? In my "defense," I wasn't brewing tea at the time, but I had left the gaiwan out and the counter got too cluttered. Oh well. I've glued it back in place for now. It looks hideous, so just don't look to closely.
Going one last round today with the Bai Ji Guan, then time to move on to some pu'erh, I think!

Re: Sunday TeaDay 11/22/09 Teaware tastes changed?
Dramatically, I'd have to say, "no".
My interests in teawares runs a tight parallel with the nature of my general claywork. Changes are a slow evolution over long periods of time as I continue to study and explore work with which I am less familiar. It is a slow, constant growth process as ideas are discovered, intellectually processed, physically explored, and eventually digested in some manner. The then well considered "influence" gets incorporated into the synergistic whole in some manner, either overtly or very subliminally.
Even the choice to basically reject something has some influence on further work; it re-affirms and makes stronger that which is kept.

I haven't been a tea drinker for too long so I have to say yes my teaware interest has changed very much because when I first started reading this forum I couldn't contimplate brewing only 100ml's of tea at a time. I refused to give up my coffee mugs for little teacups. So I bought a 360ish ml glass teapot that has become my monster teapot and used coffee mugs.
Now I brew in a 100ml gaiwan most days and use 80-100ml teacups everyday. The monster teapot is only filled to 7oz for green tea in my hagi yaki teacup, which at first I couldn't believe people actually used cups with holes in them and looked like something from a horror movie. Now I appreciate hagi ware and find myself wanting more all the time.

Tsuru gyo today.
I don't think my tastes have changes because I've only been buying teaware for less than a year and I don't think natural aesthetic tastes don't change that quickly. I also haven't bought teaware in awhile anyway. I have all I could ever need so I spend my money on things I need (expensive gyo for instance

Definitely not, no change in tastes. I have however, cut back on buying. And I'm trying to learn to just admire without having to own.
In my cup this morning Mariage Freres Saphir Himalaya Spring Flush, a sample that never got sent, I'm so enjoying this one. It is absolute perfection and all I can do NOT to re-order.

Perhaps a little change. I purchased my first hagi piece just to see what all the hype was about, not because I liked it. Turned out I loved it, so perhaps "expanded" is a better word. For the most part, I've always been drawn toward more substantial Asian and American teaware, especially stoneware and handthrown wheel pottery, with the occasional foray into traditional English styles.

Well my no re-ordering from my noon post didn't work so well. That Saphir Darjeeling is just too amazing. I ordered.
In my cup this afternoon is Jing Tea Shop Long Juan TGY
Delicious. My favorite TGY ever, sadly gone from the site now.

My teaware tastes have been a transition in the past few weeks actually. Due to Chips hagi special offers I've been admiring all those hagi pieces and thinking they are amazing, and in the past few weeks I've taken the plunge, and now I feel almost like a hagi fiend.
