Re: Thanksgiving TeaDay 2009. Thanks for TeaChat?
Teachat has been a wonderful resource for people to share information, and with Chips special offers. Though at the same time this has pushed me to a whole new level of tea drinking which would probably have taken years to arrive at otherwise.

I am very thankful for TeaChat and the wealth of information shared here. It is great to be in a place where people truly understand the love of tea. Oh and teaware!

Re: Thanksgiving TeaDay 2009. Thanks for TeaChat?
Teachat has been wonderful. Thanks to teachat I've met some great new friends, and have parted with a great deal of very hard earned money thanks to said enabler friends (Victoria).
Currently about to drink a BaoZhong I think from floating leaves.

Yes, thank you to everybody and TeaChat for continuing to come together and discuss a love of tea. I hope everybody has a spectacular day today, if you're celebrating Thanksgiving or no.

-A friendly community that understands and loves both tea and teawares.
-An English-speaking place where you can use Japanese words like "yunomi", "kyusu", "chawan", "guinomi" and the like and actually be communicating.
Sounds great to me!
THANKS for all the very active efforts you put into moderating this forum, Chip. Glad I found it.
best,

PS: And Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate this holday.

Re: Thanksgiving TeaDay 2009. Thanks for TeaChat?
There are very few places where I can get all excited about a new tea, an awesome tea pot or an artisan yunomi and not be told that I am weird or get funny looks from people. I am very thankful that Teachat exists to allow us to share our love of tea with people who understand.
Currently in my cup is Jin Xuan from Floating Leaves. It is oddly fitting for this Thanksgiving day as the aroma reminds me of acorn squash with brown sugar and maple syrup.
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving if you celebrate it. If you don't celebrate it, I hope you have a fantastic Thursday.

Happy Thankgiving and teaday
Im sooo greatful for teachat I can't explain it. I have only been around less than a year and have learned so much from you teachatters that people think I've been drinking tea forever. It gives me a place to feel at home about having tea as a hobby. Nobody here says Im crazy for buying a $25 teacup or buying tea from other countries. Thanks you all so very much.
Tibetan yak butter tea this morning. Im hoping some thick pu erh will help me digest more food today

Thanks for the great posts, everyone ... and thanks for the nice comments.
Yep, very thankful for TeaChat, and to our host for sponsoring it yet leaving much of the discussion direction/parameters to us. Quite unique.
The friends, information shared, and the many teas tried as a result ... and the teaware, can't forget the teaware can I? I doubt if I would be where I am today on my tea journey w/o TC.
Oh, and our new group, TeawareArtisans, opening my eyes to domestic teaware, after I had come to the false conclusion that all domestic teaware was just big and heavy and clunky ... I am glad to be proven wrong!
Began the Thanksgiving TD with a tasting of Zencha SP with DW, quite good ... in a Hagi ... thanks to TC.
Have a great Thanksgiving ... or simply a great TD, whichever applies.

Re: Thanksgiving TeaDay 2009. Thanks for TeaChat?
Another Thanksgiving tradition here; sleeping in late, making a nice pot of tea and watching the Macy's parade. Since I'm not cooking much this year, I can relax. Of course that means not many leftovers. Darn! I knew there was a downside.
In my cup this morning Glendale Handmade from TeaSource.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone,
Be safe!
