Good TeaDay everyone. Please come in a sit a spell, share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed Black TeaDay, er Black Friday. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Making a list, checking it twice ... have you started a holiday Tea/Teaware wish list for the upcoming holidays? Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
Nope, no list for me. Nobody would know what to buy if I tried to ask for something specific, and when it comes to specialty items, I generally just stick to photo gear. Books are big, electronic gadgets always make me happy... I'm probably one of those people that others describe as "hard to buy for."
I'll admit, I do tend to be particular, but I'm also fairly easy to please. Sounds contradictory, but it isn't. When I'm buying for myself, I'm super picky. Gifts are different.
A good friend of mine just brought me a handpainted creamer from Spain. She said she thought I could use it for a fair cup. Ha! It's darling, I'll have to feature it in a photo here soon.

Yunnan golden tips this morning.
Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
No lists here. My family has decided to forgo the purchasing of gifts for each other and focus on the kids (grandkids/nieces&nephews).
I'm sure I could be very precise about making a list so that other people could figure it out, but I'm at that stage in my life where if I want it, I'll get it. I would prefer gifts to be unexpected and hopefully thoughtful!
Anyway, no music practice this morning, but I've got to rush to the post office and do some other errands before really getting rolling today. Have a great TeaDay everybody!

No list for us ....we are doing what Drax is doing and focusing on the kids. Although I may sneak out and get Amy a little surprise from a local pottery that has several local artist making Teaware.
This morning , we tried some Green Tea from China that we got at a Asian market.
Tonight will be some sort of Oolong.
Hope everybody had a GREAT THANKSGIVING!

Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
I did put one tea related item on my list...one of those electric warmers to keep my tea warm on my desk at work (a recent post from Intuit reminded me that I "need" one of these). Last year my SIL got me lots of boxes of Bigelow bagged tea....not my cup of tea
I did give most of it to my daughter for her and her roommates at school, they liked it. If there was a store locally where I could point to some items, I might make some suggestions; otherwise, I don't want anyone to spend their money on an item that wouldn't get used.
Now, I could point my DH at some online stuff, but according to him, I've already got Christmas, Valentine's, birthday covered with schweet Hagi-offer cups!
This morning in my cup...Ceylon Kenilworth with Apple Pie for breakfast...mmmm.
Have a great tea day,

Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
I have a list of teas, that I plan to buy for myself. If I asked my family for tea/teaware they would either say I already have enough, or be extremely confused about what I was talking about (what?! he wants tea for christmas...but theres some in the fridge).
probably going to go for some darjeeling after lunch.

Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
No list of tea or teaware, I buy those for myself just as Geek says.
But I do have a non-tea/teaware list!! All big ticket items, like a new camera and a laptop.
In my cup this morning: Mariage Freres Darjeeling from a TC swap.
A nice cup.

My wish list doesn't follow holiday patterns. Or, probably because I celebrate so many holidays year around, the wish list is justified anytime
Also I found myself very impatient. No tea ware stays on wish list for long. I will either buy it soon or lose interest in it. But I always have a long wish list for tea

Re: Saturday TeaDay 11/28/09 Making a list?
Well, I sort of have two lists.
One is a list where I keep track of what I might get for myself.
And the other is to help others get things for me.
In my family we exchange lists and even email links to help each other get things for each other that are wanted and appreciated.
So, I've sent a couple of links to specific teapots and a really cool teapot stand I saw when checking out a link someone posted on this site!
In my cup (momentarily) will be some Wako matcha. After that, hmmm, not sure yet.
I'll post a pic of matcha in a shyrabbit chawan under "This morning's matcha" in a bit.
Cheers, and may you all have a fabulous day.

This is remarkably similar to what I do. Pragmatists unite!Seeker wrote:Well, I sort of have two lists.![]()

In hopes of TeaBucks, most certainly have started a list. Lots of Hagi, tea, and other teaware!
OK, maybe a little.
Began the TD with Hatsumi from O-Cha and followed by Zencha Fuji SOP with DW.

No lists. It's "Christmas Lite" this year with an emphasis towards feast and family and away from gifts.
Lovely Long Jing this morning and Baozhong tonight!

Nope and I don't plan on it. Most people I know have no idea what I am talking about when I ask for tea related things. If anything it would be a gift card. I am that person that has it all and thus hard to buy for. Ain't I a stinker!?!
