Good TeaDay veryone. Please do drop in and share what is in your cup thoughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed our fave teas for the month of November. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic, contentment. Are you fully content with your tea enjoyment in its totality, entirety, wholeness, or is there something you either feel you need to or want to change in order to improve your enjoyment? Please share.
I will be content to share this TeaDay with everyone ... bottoms up.

I always feel like I want something different. I like trying new teas. I'm never content.

Hello! I'm new here, but wanted to jump in. I feel that I'm pretty content with my tea enjoyment. I love finding out new ones, even if they don't become my favorite. And I also love going back to old favorites. They're like familiar old blankets or PJs, so comfy. I think that being American, I'm used to having my tea from a bag, and it doesn't bother me at all, but I also like to be brave and try my hand with a tea ball and some loose tea. The flavors are definitely different!

Hi Feyna and welcome to TC!
Well, at present I don't need any true improvement to enhance my tea time. Of course, I enjoy tasting new teas and getting new teaware, but I figure it's a natural process...

Yup, I believe so. Could get some better teaware, I guess, but it's nice to have something to look forward to.

I am fully content with my tea enjoyment. There are for sure better teas, finer teaware but this is nothing I am worried about. I am not on the never ending (and somewhat dissatisfying and frustrating) quest for the best tea or teaware.

Yeah... pretty much. At this point, life is evolution rather than revolution. Things change, but slowly. It moves along as it should.

The only thing I could wish for is more disposable income! I am very content with my tea enjoyment, but view it as a constant journey, always taking me alittle further and around some wandering paths. $$$ is a good accompanyment to the journey.
Coffee this morning.
I know, odd for me, but I have craved it for the past few days.
Tea will be next...

I'm exactly the same way. Don't get me wrong, I love tea, but I figure why be content when there might be a tea out there I like even better.Terrasi wrote:I always feel like I want something different. I like trying new teas. I'm never content.

Yes, completely and utterly content with my tea enjoyment in its totality. Speaking just of the pure enjoyment of the teas I have and drink and my teaware.
But CUSTOMS right now - I am completely and utterly FED UP with.
In my cup this morning Japanese black.

New to this site yesterday, so am still finding my way around.
I've been drinking tea for about 66 years - my mama started me on tea at 4 years of age. It was mostly milk and sugar, with a bit of tea added. Each year, more tea.
We emigrated from Scotland when I was 7 1/2 to the U.S. I'm still drinking tea; without sugar and with milk when the tea calls for it.
I'm content with the teas I have for breakfast, but love to experiment with new teas for my elevenses and four o'clock cups! I expect to get lots of information on here.

Not only is change required... it's necessary for my continued tea-education. Newer teas and/or blends help to further refine my palate and enhance the broad selection of flavors I can identify.
One of the bigger things I would like to improve on with regards to my tea experience are certain habits I have picked up by drinking tea at work. I am often unable to fully apprecite the nuance of the teas I drink in the office, regardless of whether it's a fresh 2009 Shincha or a hearty aged Tou Cha Pu'erh.
I have much work to do.
This morning I am drinking a well balanced Glenworth Estate Limited BOP picked in April of this year.

Good Day, fellow Tea Folk!
I find myself relatively contented with my ongoing tea experience.
I am also open and curious about new teas - and I try new teas sometimes at my favorite Tea bar (Teance has a tea bar
).
This is part of my contentedness - I am riding the currents of tea, and open to where they take me, sometimes to what I like, sometimes not, and then sometimes, I change or evolve and begin to like what I previously did not.
Began the morning with some matcha in my new Seigan Sansai Tebineri. Mmmm, mmmm, good.
Now enjoying O-cha organic Oku Yutaka sencha in my new Saigan Ao Tebineri from the SO:

Cheers.
Happy Tea Day to all.

Yes, I am pretty content with my tea drinking. That is, I think I have found really good quality, robust flavored teas that I enjoy a lot. Of course, I'm always on the look out for more and better. Gotta keep your eyes and your palate open for new opportunities to learn more!
However there is one thing that concerns me. I have some EXCELLENT teas, maybe too many at one time. So my concern is with storage. I wonder if I need better storage techniques or understanding to retain not just the full flavor and body but also to get benefits from aging these good teas. So, that's my concern at the moment. Hmmm...
Today I am drinking a delicious delight from my friends at Red Circle Tea, "Ying De Red" Some of the teas I have from them are case in point, like a first prize Baochong which I'm afraid my storage methods don't do justice to. On the other hand, I've been pleasantly surprised. Maybe there is this crapshoot element to it you just have to do your best to go with?
