Greetings everyone and welcome to TeaDay. I hope you will stop in and and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed our TeaContentment. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Are you acutely focused on one general type (i.e. Green Tea) or more types of tea presently? Please share with us where you are at these days including the type or types.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 12/03/09 TeaTypeFocus?
Recently I find myself focused mostly on greens. I dip into the puerh a bit, but really, I think I'm quite taken with greens of late.
Sipping, interestingly, some 90's sheng tuocha just now. But was giving lots of thought to my next greens order.

I do not focus on any particular variety of tea. I drink tea all day and as soon as one is brewed out, I change variety. But god I do love tea! The one I think I drink more than any other is the Yixing Red Tea. There's something about it that is so comfortable.

Pretty focused on whites. But also enjoying greens and oolongs.
Focusing on Dragon Well today.

I would say at this point I am acutely focused on more than one type. Oolongs are my main focus, but I have spent a lot of time with Darjeelings this year.

I do love that tea myself!
My focus is pretty much on China black teas. There is the occasional oolong...
edit: today I'm drinking Red Peony from Ito En

Not a newbie to tea drinking; been doing it for about 66 years--but have only started experimenting with something other than black teas within the last couple of years. Don't have the vocabulary of a tea connoisseur, but am learning.
I'm not focused on any particular tea at this time, but this morning I plan to have a Russian Caravan tea. I love the smoky essence of it.

Due to the nature of reviewing tea on my blog, I can't focus on one particular type of tea.
For short period of time though, in order to help continue to refine my palate I may concentrate on a specific category, cultivar or region.
This morning I am drinking Blood Orange from Adagio Teas.

Although I am pretty focused on more than one type of tea I still like to try different ones all the time. I just make sure the ones I am focused on make it into the day. Those are Green Anteadote tea and Flavored teas particulary my Sweet Velvet Fog.
In my cup this morning... Sweet Potato Pie Tea. Just got the sample yesterday and wanted to try it right away. Unfortunately not really my cuppa tea.

Recently I have been quite focused on sheng Pu, however I've still been drinking Japanese greens, oolongs and blacks (reds) quite a bit.
In my gaiwan/cup today so far today, a winter 2009 Da Pa oolong from Teasmith in London.

Blacks (especially Nilgiris), Darjeelings, and Oolongs are my focus right now. I don't seem to have the patience lately to get too into greens, but that may change!

Originally I was just focused on greens but lately I've been drinking quite a few blacks. I voted I'm acutely focused on multiple teas because I still drink puerhs and oolongs but I guess I'm just not as focused on them.

In my cup this morning a very expensive (by way of duty and shipping fees) from Mariage Freres called Blue Himalayan. Hrumph! Drat, it's quite delicious though.
