Re: Walmart Pu-erh
Huh, I suppose Wal-Mart gets everything else from China, so it was only a matter of time before they started selling pu'erh?
I don't mean to make that sound like a jab. . .
I enjoyed the product description, especially these three bullets:
# Type: Young Pu-erh Tea
# Puerh is an aged tea from China that is fermented and matured to develop a unique mellow, slightly wet earthy character
# The finest puerhs are aged for up to 50 years and become more mellow and smooth over time
A classic example of "straw-man marketing," if I can use that term. In other words, yes it's true the finest pu'erh teas are aged for many decades. . . but not this one.

Re: Walmart Pu-erh
Just want to point out that on the product page, right above product name, it said "Sold by Marketplace Retailer". Under "Buy Online", "CSN Stores.com" is listed as a vendor. So, this tea is not sold directly by Walmart.
I think this is similar to Marketplace vendors on Amazon.com.
There are only 6 items in stock, according to CSN product page. So, order soon, for those who are interested.
But, if you order now, you won't receive it before Dec 24 though.

Don't knock it 'til you try it! I think it's the perfect after dinner tea to compliment a chili cheese dog and some Doritos.

Does the Fine-T machine work as a time machine? Judging by the space-aged appearance with fancy buttons, I wouldn't be surprised.

Cheers, I'd been at a loss for what to serve after Christmas diner this year. We'd settled on the chili cheese dogs and Doritos for the main course but I couldn't think what tea to go for after.tingjunkie wrote:Don't knock it 'til you try it! On a related note I'm pretty proud of my ice cream pairing abilities. Kind of like this "classic" scene.Proinsias wrote:Cheers, I'd been at a loss for what to serve after Christmas diner this year. Looks like, made for Mr. T.
The sencha 2nd flush description:
"Produced in many regions of Japan, Sencha is the most popular green tea there."
UK English has to be funny, at times. 'There'. As in 'over there', not 'here'. Bilbo traveled 'over there' and came back to the shire.
Cheers.

Wow. Would you believe that when I watched that clip, the first thing that popped into my head was rum raisin?
