Cup today so far, Sansai from Hagi Special Offer #6. This is a really great wan in every respect!

In this cup, Hatsumi from O-Cha. SweeTea enjoyed hers while Little Bit again returned to the TeaTable.

Sorry, just a vendor photo ...

I voted 'Other' since this is kinda homemade (paint-your-own pottery)

This morning I had a blend called 'Morning Sunshine." A black with citrus, and some kind of flower petals in it. It was a nice change of pace.

I feel like I should be semi politically correct and when referring to hagi label it as Both Japanese and Korean.

But for the most part I'm drinking out of Chinese or Japanese style cups, Currently Sencha Hosen from my Ice split.

I'm using one of these cups today
Image

They're by a modern Kutani ceramicist, Ken Akaji (I posted about them in the "Show Off Your Pots and Cups XII" topic.

Today I am drinking puerh. It is this Yiwu tea
http://www.imperialtea.com/2004-Yi-Wu-S ... -P678.aspx

It has aged really nicely in my NY apt which is a nice surprise. (Conditions can be crazy for various reasons, including historically protected windows!) It was a very well aged delicious tea to start with and I've had it here about a year, I think. Beautiful deep deep RED color like a faceted garnet. Something new in the taste, I picture tall big dark hardwood trees in the depth of permanent forest shade. I wonder if that has to do with the fact that I burn good quality aloes based incense nearby! Also now a hint of caramel. And something else I can't identify...

Nice cups in use today! Please post whatever cup you are using ... in word or in color. Don't let these teacup zealots keep you away from TeaDay! Of course, I am certainly not one of these zealots ... 8)

Currently, a tasting of Zencha Fuji the Ultimate is in this Yunomi, which happens to be the current Special Offer #11. It is called Ao Tebineri or Blue Pinched and is by Yamane Seigan. These should be called "Uncut Sapphires."

I guess you could consider it Homeland since I am Irish, and it's an Irish cafe mug. Drinking some Lyons Gold Blend today, just wanted something simple yet good.

I think the color is really very nice. A solid breakfast tea.

The image below is from Little Pig Pottery etsy site, with permission given by the potter. This is my first purchase since joining TeaChat. The celadon coloring is very soothing.

I plan to use it today. Most of the other teacups, other than four handle-less ones from Japan, are traditional English bone china, or English-style from Czechoslavkia (my mother's wedding china from 1938).

Early today I had Harney & Sons English Breakfast blend. This evening I'll have more Russian Caravan. Had some of my Marco Polo black blend this afternoon.

I ordered some small tea samples from Silk Road Teas the other day. Victoria, one of them was the one you recommended.
