Good TeaDay everyone. Please come in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed movies and directors in a TeaRoom TeaDay. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. What are your fave subforums (you can vote for up to 3) on TeaChat? Please share some insight into why.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone ... bottoms up.

Re: Monday TeaDay 1/05/10 Fave subforums on TeaChat?
Teaware and accessories, Teaday, and Artisans. Accessories because it is so fun to see what others have/enjoy and also to learn so much about the rich world of tea; also fun to share what I've acquired and learned. Teaday because it is comforting and nice to check in with other TC'ers and 'teafriends' and also share - feeling somehow connected. Artisans because there is so much to learn, and to see, and also sometimes other possibilities.
And overall, I enjoy the whole thing because I find that I feel a sense of community here with this TeaChat experience around our much loved tea and the rituals we've learned, have, share, and create in pursuing our love of this leaf.
Just finished 3rd infusion of Den's green kukicha.
Cheers.

TeaDay/Green/Pu-Erh
The latter two being the two types of tea I consume the most!
Just about to buckle down to some work at home, first proper day of my 3 year PhD today eek! Before I start though, going to brew myself up a large pot of 2006 Xiaguan "Xiao Fa" Tuocha gong fu style to keep me going!
Have a great day everyone!

I vote for tea accessories (lots of eye candies), miscellany (although I always think this somewhat overlaps with "other tea") and, of course oolong
If there is one more vote then I would vote for TeaDay

Tea Day, Tea Ware, and Green Tea; in that order. I like the all over the map feel of the tea day posts and I like drooling over the pictures in the tea ware section. Of course, I like green tea. I like black tea as well so the Black Tea section would have been my fourth choice. In addition, I always check the Oolong section as I am very fond of oolongs.

I didn't really "get" Japanese teaware until I came to TeaChat and started checking the "Today's Matcha" thread. It's inspiring. And enabling. Beautiful.
I'd also love to start ageing some pu-erh down the road, and the thread here is a wealth of information and ideas.
An old sample of Pear Green tea that I desperately need to use up in my cup right now.

I had to vote for Teaware, and Teaware Artisans, but I couldn't find the option to split a vote into thirds.
Let it be known that Green, Oolong, and Puerh, each have an additional 1/3rd of a vote.

I always use the "View New Posts" button, so I don't usually frequent specific sub-forums other than TD! I also voted for TeaSwap... just because it's awesome to have. Gotta love the TeaSwap!
Oh, and I think "My experience at Teavana" should become its own sub-forum

Re: Monday TeaDay 1/05/10 Fave subforums on TeaChat?
Tough call, I have a lot of interests for various reasons in many subforums. I could only vote for 3, but will list 5 ... and in no particular order (I think, Freud might disagree however
).
Green, Teaware, TeadDay, Teaware Artisans. TeaRetailer is a current/newcomer to my list. This is my top tier of subforums. It seems like I have several tiers. Highest interest, high interest, medium interest ... and well, so on.
...
Began the TD with a tasting of Zencha Fuji SP. SweeTea shared in the tasting while Gandalf and Pyrit were observers today.

Just finished my daily matcha, now I think I'll play with kukicha some more.
Cheers.

In no particular order: Teaware, TeaDay, Oolong, Black and Teaware Artisans. Like Chip, I couldn't pick just three. I love TC even if I don't always participate much!
This chilly afternoon calls for some Huang Jin Bolero in my cup.
