Welcome everyone to another TeaDay. Please come in, sit a spell, share what is in your cup ... throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed how we knew our tea was done. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. About 2 years ago, Olivierco asked, "when was the last time you did not have a tea for an entire day?" Seems like a good question to ask again. And when you did not drink tea, what was the reason?
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
The last day I didn't have any tea was the last day I was in hospital. The only tea allowed by the nutrition plan was decaf tea bags in lukewarm water!!!! In a cup usually used to serve coffee -- which retains the taste and smell of coffee. I couldn't stand it. Yuk.
My last cup today was another try of the Dragon Well. It was a bit more palatable this time. I carefully checked the temperature, the amount, and the brewing time.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
I voted in the last week.
I tend to average maybe 1 day off a week. If I have to rush it, I'd rather leave it. Even with all the time in the world I still have days off. Some days just don't feel like teadays, I'll still tend to drop by teachat though.
Today will be a teaday as I'm in the house all day, undecided as to what the first tea of the day will be. Maybe matcha as it's been a while.

Less than one week. I usually don't have much tea during the weekends.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
Last week. Actually yesterday I just had some left over shu puerh after 9pm. There are many days that I don't have time to have tea, and I only struggle to make sure there is time for lunch
But then I have more free days during the week than most people, and that will make up

Don't really remember but probably sometime in the last six months. It was a matter of getting to busy at work to even have a moment to brew, then too late in the day when it finally settled down.
No non-tea days have been by choice.
Opened a new Floating Leaves Tea LiShan this morning that I had been hoarding. Yummmmmm!
Have a nice day everyone!

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
A few months ago when I was still suffering from morning sickness. There might have been two or three days without tea.
But otherwise no day passes without tea. Even if it's just an herbal tea(does that count?) or something.
Yesterday for the first time I tested some of my teas side by side. That was fun. Irish Breakfast and English Breakfast teas from different places. For a couple of those I would have sworn taste almost the same, but turns out they don't. I have to do that more often.

I can't remember the last time I didn't have tea in a day, it must be years. I may go without hot tea for a day but I always have an iced tea everyday without fail at least for the last 5 years. I am guessing somewhere in that 5 year period there must have been one or two days without any tea of any kind but it has been a long time that's for sure.

Last week. Unfortunately this is a common occurrence, there are just some days when I don't have much time for tea.
Trying some snowbud this morning.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
I'd have to say some time this month. Probably a Sunday, as I tend not to make tea right when I get up if I'm at home (but I do at work). Sunday mornings are hectic for me as it tends to be errand-day, but I'm finding a pattern where I can come back and make tea in the afternoon.
Was running late this morning and didn't get a chance to grab any of my new teas.. but that's probably for the best, I really want to sit down with each of them and have time to look at it and enjoy it, not feel rushed. So Darjeeling this morning, we'll see what strikes my fancy when I get home.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
Last week and actually I think I went like 2-3 whole days without tea
Didn't get time in the morning to brew up tea and then was busy in the evening and couldn't find the time.
Takeing a little tea-break from algebra studying(exam countdown 9hrs 31 min.) Im having my last session of xia hong pao. Im not sad yet because its so good but Im sure it will sink in that I have to wait a few months before getting more.

I think it was the 30th September last year because of my dental implant.

Barely any tea this past week because of getting the 'ol wisdom teeth out. But that's all right because I'm feeling pretty good today - breaking out gallons of the good stuff! First cup: Mid-roasted Formosa.
Re: Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?
I voted 'less than 6 mo' because last summer, when my gallbladder flared up, I began working with a kinesiologist and was taken off of tea for a month or two (tho I did drink herbal - so maybe not completely off of "tea").
Before that, I'd have to go back several years to when I was a coffee whore - and then I almost never drank tea accept for the occasional iced version.
Haven't gotten to my tea yet - think I'll start with matcha today, then probably something white after that to tone myself for today's exam.
