Hello!
So, I'm looking for an everyday green tea to try. Something that isn't very picky to brew, without a bitter aftertaste. Maybe something similar to oolongs, something smooth and sweet, without bitterness.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I like to purchase teas from Yunnan Sourcing and Dragon Tea House. If anyone can think of some nice greens from there it'd be great! Thanks!

Re: Finding a good green!
I have been adoring this Mao Feng from norbutea.com for the last couple of months, because it is just amazingly mellow, forgiving, and delicious; unfortunately, it is now sold out until next spring. I really don't know how much of it's amazingness is the Mao Feng-ness vs the particular batch from Yunnan, because it's the first Mao Feng I've ever had. It gives multiple infusions without bitterness. Gorgeous stuff.

Re: Finding a good green!
had YS's Mao feng (that was in fall 2007) - nice yunnan flavor +some light smokiness, tho was quite strong flavor when delivered, i drank it a couple months after- more mellow.
now drinking YS's bilochun which is not bad but rather mellow and quiet for me- i add more tea or smash the leaf ...

Hmmm, I would say any kind of light green with a little bit of flavoring (like pomegranate or hibiscus or even lemongrass), do it for me when it comes to greens. Though who doesn't love a punch-in-the-face vegetal green tea!?
