Good TeaDay everyone. Please drop in, sit a spell and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed Tea computer times. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's teaRoom poll and discussion topic. This is pure small talk, but could prove interesting for some obvious reasons today. So, today's "small talk" topic, how is your weather today? Please share some details with us.
Bonus question, will the weather affect your tea consumption today?
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Saturday TeaDay 2/06/10 Small Talk TD, how's the weather?
The weather? Let me look outside...(walks to window and looks out)....uh, I can't really see anything 'cause it's BLIZZARD conditions! Pennsylvania is getting the "lions share" of a major storm, and here I sit sipping Muzha TGY at 2:20 in the morning, listening to some blues music (Lightnin' Hopkins at the moment).
As for the bonus question, yes I am planning on drinking lots of tea tonight and tomorrow because I certainly won't be going anywhere and I must stay hydrated
(Chip, the poll only allows me to choose 1 option, so I couldn't vote for the bonus.)

Just raining here in Southern Ca, but we are expecting a lot of it. Nah, won't change my tea consumption any more than the weekend normally does.
Be careful everyone if you are going out, the conditions go from bad to worse as you look east across our country. I hope everyone stays safe and warm and has some extra tea.

Today it is snowing but it is light. However, VERY windy and COLD!!! Since I couldn't select my consumption level I am saying it will increase so that I can stay warm and create a feeling of comfort. Burrrr!

Pouring rain, which tends to make me want more hot tea, and generally I'll be drinking smokier traditional roast oolongs and puerhs. Still starting with some Fukamushi Sencha from denstea, however.
Re: Saturday TeaDay 2/06/10 Small Talk TD, how's the weather?
There's a light dusting of snow here. We had about 5 or 6 inche s last weekend, which is now all gone after a bit of warming and rain. This snowfall occurred overnight, maybe a half-inch tops, and it is my favorite kind of snow... collects on the trees, grass, rooftops, and makes everything pretty, but the roads are totally clear. Yay.
My tea consumption won't be a bit different... I am generally a homebody on winter weekends, and I drink tea to my heart's content.
In my cup this morning is Japanese organic black tea: Organic Makurazaki Tezumi Koucha Hime Hikari. This is the one from Yuuki-Cha, in the yellow tin. I'd had the Koucha before, but a different one in a pouch called Organic Makurazaki Tezumi Koucha Hatsumomiji. They are both very good, with this one being maybe a touch smoother, but I am hard-pressed to tell much difference. Both need a bit of underbrewing for my taste... more than 2 minutes or so gets alittle too heavy for me.

Fog, fog, and more fog! It's kind of typical for my area this time of year.
I'll probably drink more tea since I have time to relax a bit and enjoy it both hot and iced.
Nilgiri Glendale OP in my cup this morning.

Oooops, you can now vote for a second poll option/bonus. I will blame it on the "blizzard!"
Yeah, blizzard like out there today, though it has now subsided, now a lot of drifting and fridgid conditions. Brrr ... I hope there will be MORE tea today!

rain, cloudy, rain, sun, cloudy... NW Oregon. My tea consumption is more dependent on the day of the week than the season or weather.

Rain, snow, back to rain, then cloudy. This weekend is not as bad as last weekend.
When there is snow, I always drink more tea; usually chai or Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice.

Finally stopped raining here in S. CA, but might just be a lull before another rainfall.
Looking forward to a quiet afternoon and several cups of tea while working on my next mystery tea party plan. If you're interested, see my site at www dot myster teaparties dot com. I hope it's alright for me to give my website. If not, guess the moderator will let me know!

Hey all, returned to the E. Coast from SF Bay area. First to Washington DC. Escaped to NYC on noon train yesterday. My sympathies, condolences, best wishes to those caught in the snow avalance/blizzard/whatever. I hope you are inside and enjoying it all cozy and without a lot of problems. We didn't really get much of anything here, just a dusting still on sidewalks and rooftops gathering and freezing in the corners.
I'm exhausted from travel but would like to get out and go to an early Chinese New Year celebration if I can rouse myself.
Starting at home with a milan dancong today... very fragrant, hits the spot. Even my espresso-drinking husband had to have some and enjoyed it

Something new to TeaChat starting today. Thanks to Zencha for sharing this idea!

Coined "FooDay ... er Food Day!" So if you are cooking today, or eating, come and share. It is currently located as a stickied topic in TeaDay, so you can share what is in your cup here, then share what is on your plate in FooDay!

It's been raining off and on for a couple days; today wasn't too bad, mostly just cloudy. As for tea consumption, I'd say about average.
Had some vanilla/peach oolong with lunch, mango black this afternoon (which ended up oversteeped by the second cup, so most of that's on the counter in the kitchen while I debate what to do with it), probably some
White Peony here shortly.
