Tea cup shape suggestions?

by teaisme » Feb 11th, '10, 17:17

I find it remarkable how big a difference there is between drinking cups of different shapes

Oddly the drinking cup I prefer the most so far is meant to be an aroma cup, the newer style, shorter and slightly fatter then the older ones, with a flared edge, it really seems to hit the taste buds just right

Do any of you have a favourite cup that you find enhances the taste of tea/specific teas?

I'm very interested to try new cup shapes and would like to know!

I really prefer a thin, smooth, slightly flared lip. IMO, really the best for oolongs. My favorite size and shape:
