Mmmm good question. I don't recall from last year, but I'd say they sell out within 2-3 months I think?? Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Never had a sakura blossom. What does it taste like?

Sakura means cherry blossom. So tastes like cherry. Less sour more sweet. I think they add flavoring too in addition to the blossoms.

Yep. The blossoms seem to be more for looks than flavor-- there is definitely cherry flavoring added.

The aroma straight from he bag is amazingly strong (very sweet smelling)-- in a good way-- but it's not overwhelming in the cup.

It makes an excellent and refreshing cold brew! Perfect for summer-- just be sure you buy enough to last until then :)

This is likely the only flavored tea I enjoy ... go for it. But I am partial to cherry! However, this is a very good rendition and a perfect seasonal sencha as the Sakura festivals approach.

Go for it. $9.50 + $5 shipping... and pick something else up to to soften the minor blow from shipping :)

Can you actually taste the sencha though?

What kind of sencha is it?

The first steep is really cherry, later steeps are more sencha. I do not recall what sencha is used, surely not a high grade since it is a flavored tea ...

I suggest you pick up two, one for now, pop one in the fridge for later. When spring comes everyone will be crying that it's gone from the website, and you will have yours. It's a beautiful tea for Spring.

I'm debating on this; I'm not a huge fan of cherry flavor, but my all-time favorite perfume is a very light one that smells of sakura (its wonderful and I love it, probably partially because it's so subtle - I don't like overly strong scents). Thoughts?
I'm also trying to get a variety without massively overbuying, and I think I've got my Ippodo order figured out... but I'm debating going ahead and getting a small order from Den's first to try a couple things since Ippodo's shipping is pretty steep. The more I think about this, the more I think that might be a good idea - better to spend $30 first and find out what I like, then spend the $80 later and better tailor the large order to my tastes... hmm...

Laura, there is Sakura blossom, then there is Sakura fruit, this is more fruit ... IMO and IMSMR. I did not have it last harvest, so someone correct me if I am wrong.

I recall a Cherry pie aroma and flavor.

Cherry may be my fave overall fruit, so I liked it quite a bit, but only in the Spring ... once Shincha rolled around ... no mas.
