I counted about 20, maybe a few more than 20. A bit surprised. I thought there were about 10, because most of the time I only use 6-7 of them :D

I only have two by myself, but between my friends and I there are about twelve. It comes in handy for our monthly tea parties (yes, real tea parties, not those political things).

Right now I'm drinking white tea.

Hmmm well since I use my standard mugs to brew in, I could say... mmm about 20 ;) but let's just consider those a collective one.

I'll go with 4? Mug, Tea***a tetsubin, some crazy cheap teapot set from Kroger, annnnd my mouth? No, no. That just silly. Just 3 then.

Not really drinking it, but I have some Yunnan Gold in a thermos that I made with water heated with a hotel coffee maker *blehhh*. On my way home from snowy Myrtle Beach.

Don't worry, I'm not driving and typing this elaborate message at the same time. ;)

OK, after counting up ... keep in mind I have been drinking tea for going on 11 years.

I count 17 Kyusu, 3 Tetsubin (yeah, year one  ), 4 Houjin, 4 Korean Travel, 8 Gaiwan or Gaiwanesque, 1 Glass Gong Fu, 28 Chawan, 2 Chinese hybrid pots (half pot/half gaiwan), 8 Bodum (mostly larger for iced tea), and 1 Jaineer (sp) original. I think that is 76.

It is interesting reviewing the stages chronologically from when I first began drinking tea seriously 11 years ago ... a bunch of big and pretty impractical stuff. Then as the years go by becoming more specialized and much much much smaller.

Of all these pieces, I am guessing a handful has never been used, so they do get used and bring enjoyment!

Began the TD with Sencha from Den's. As usual, SweeTea joined in, but Pyrit and Fuji sat by ...

I started high and sorta plateued early, as I tend to cycle my teaware regularly, so within a week I use a majority of my brewing vessels, and in a month I always do, so 10 for each Month and Total.

Matcha chawans aside, I have quite a collection of kyusu, yixing and gaiwans so definitely more then 21.

In my cup this morning - Silk Road Teas - Red Peach (Hong Tao Mao Feng)

Despite some criticism about the obvious malfunction, I thought the Olympic Opening Ceremonies were fantastic last night.

More than 21, (but only barely, less than 25 I think,) but I did not count chawan or kettles.

It makes me sad that they had to steal the name. Jerks.

I said More. I didn't have many and then this winter I bought 7 Yixings and 5 Chawans.

Ten Ren's Pi Lo Chun today. And a hearty high five to all my fellow Canucks who are celebrating our hosting the Olympics right now. Booya!

Two gaiwans and one Kamjove at work.

Four medium and five tiny clay pots at home. Four glass pots of various sizes (one duplicate/spare because I break these too often). Five gaiwans. One kyusu. One large porcelain pot.

Not counting the couple of tea balls that mostly get used for other things now.

That's 22. And I don't think any of them were more than $25, most were under $10.

OK, I'm not at home today to make a true count, so I may leave something out... and my count is covering what I have at home, at work, and at my Mom's house... but here goes:

4 IngenuiTea (3 big, 1 small)
3 PersonaliTea small white porcelain pots
3 larger porcelain pots
1 glass pot
3 gaiwans
3 hagi kyusu
4 cheapish clay pots (which I need to discard)
3 yixing pots
3 tokoname kyusu unglazed
1 glazed kyusu
1 houhin
1 tetsubin
3 chawan (2 hagi, 1 mahoggle... more wanted, lol)

Drinking some Da Hong Pao wuyi from Yunnan Sourcing.

:o Sacrilege! :o GG!

For me, well over 21 for the overall vote!
21 chawan! :o
Then 2 glass pots, somewhere around 15 yixing (that I actually use - there are more that I don't typically use  ). And somewhere between 5 and 10 gaiwan - but only two I really use.

In my cup now - a combination of saimidori and gokujo.
Cheers!

Oy earthquake! Very unsettling - even the small ones.
Trying to enjoy my baozhong, and now feeling quite nervous.
