Yesterday we discussed our absolute fave brewing vessel. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Well, due to the holiday, a TeaRoom TeaDay has been declared. Very simply, are you watching the Winter Olympics this year?

Definitely watching as much as possible. This is the first Olympics since I bought a 42" tv so I'm excited. However, since I am at work during the "prime time" broadcast, I'm forced to watch the replay of prime time coverage at 1am (means lots of tea time into the wee hours  ) So far, I haven't been happy with the network coverage. Too much "personal interest" stories and not enough action. I don't need to know about silly situations the athletes were involved in when they were in jr high. And I couldn't care less about what songs are on their ipod. Instead, I'd rather see coverage of ALL the sports, not just the ones with the most popular athletes. I'm looking forward to curling events on Tues, but the network will probably televise more figure skating :(

Oops...gotta go...the Olympics are on and I've got to get back to my TGY.

Edit: Humpf! Glad the tea is good 'cause Olympic coverage is more (you guessed it)...figure skating :(

Definitely watching!
I am so very moved and inspired by the Olympics!!!
For me, a symbol of world peace and a sense of unification and oneness.
Awesome.

Stretching the sencha-gyo blend - infusion #5. Nice and mellow.

Canada did it!
I'm so happy for them.
So many must be so inspired and deeply joyous.
Glad.

I don't watch much television, so it's a solid "maybe" for me. Maybe if I have nothing else more interesting to do. :)

I'm watching more than I would have expected, I'm not much of a TV guy but my kids are really into it so I'm enjoying spending time with them watching. I prefer the events where there is head-to-head racing, the ski finish of the men's biathlon [edit: it was the finish of the nordic combined, not the biathlon] yesterday was very exciting. Short-track skating is pretty fun to watch as well, although there seems to be so much tactical stuff going on it's almost impossible to know who might be winning until they get to the last lap.

Starting off the morning with the Genmaicha extra green from my Den's starter sampler. It's ok, but I've preferred the plain sencha samples. The toasty flavors are pushing in front of the green tea flavors more than I would like.

Yes, I am planning on watching some.

Nothing precisely. I already watched both biathlon races and the Nordic combined yesterday.

Kanro gyokuro this afternoon.

I went with maybe, since I haven't seen any yet (aside from some minor news coverage, and the little that was on while I was at a bar the other night). I don't tend to watch much tv - my schedule's to erratic for me to enjoy a show I might only be able to watch 1 week out of 4, and I can't tape everything, I still wouldn't have time to watch it all later!

Also, it's a great thing to have, and I feel confident I'll probably watch at least a few minutes here and there, but overall I'm just not all that interested.

Earl Grey this morning. Didn't think that was going to be the verdict, but I opened the can up and it just smelled right. I love that feeling.

I absolutely love the Winter Olympics. I enjoy watching almost everything. Not a huge fan of the figure skating. It isn't bad I just enjoy watching something with more energy. Downhill, speed skating, snowboarding, and so many more. So much fun! :D

In my cup: Supreme Jasmine from Adagio- Delicious, very clean, obvious Jasmine flavor, beautiful green/gold color water. Light and crisp. Yummy!

Yes, I'm watching. I always enjoy the Winter Olympics; don't usually watch as much of the Summer ones. I particularly enjoy the head to head sports. Short track speed is one of my favs.

I might try a new sample today. :)

I definately prefer the winter olympics to the summer. I used to only care about figure skating, but as i get older, i find myself more interested in the sking and skating. Really enjoyed the men's short track, was on the edge of my seat for semifinals and finals. This may sound unpatriotic but part of me was rooting for the canadian in women's moguls (sorry but i suck at remembering names), last night i was flipping back and forth between nbc and cbs, but i happened to hit the button just in time to see the canadian skier take gold in moguls, congrats to our canadian neighbors. I work nights, so im not sure how much moer i will get to watch, but have really enjoyed it so far.

Starting the day with white peony. If i have time before i go to work, i may try to brew something drinkable from one of my green teas. I want to like them, but i just cant seem to get it right, hotter/colder, shorter/longer, more/less leaves, nothing seems to make something i like. I am waiting for my dens sampler with japanese greens, maybe i will like them better than the chineese greens i have tried so far.

We have no cable (or antenna, etc), so unless I make an effort to find it streaming somewhere on the interwebzinet... not likely.

Just brushed my dientes, so no tea for me at the moment.

Really like almost all of the events.
Congrats Canada!!! Gold at home! So cool - I was rootin' for ya. :)
Fav events are short track (go Apolo!!), men's and women's downhill, figure skating, half-pipe. But as I said, I can get into most of the events (tho I struggle a little w/ biathlon, well, pretty much anything involving cross country skiing, probably because I've never done it myself, and find it a little boring).

Organic silver needle to warm and sooth my gullet this morning.
