I've been thinking that maybe the reason I haven't liked oolongs in the past is because they were been brewed improperly.
Now, I'm not sure whether or not that is the case, since I was never the person brewing them (I never bought any myself, because all of the ones I'd tried were unpleasant).
What I am sure is that I just had the first oolong I actually liked. It was Adagio's Jasmine #12.
When the tea samples first got here, I had to smell them all. And the Jasmine #12 was one of the ones I smelled a second time... and a third... and... hmmm.
So, today, I tried it.
First, watching the little balls unfurl was a real treat. Then, the taste... it was just so good. I don't know how I've gotten along so far without it. Definitely going on the list of teas to buy in larger quantities!
My SO thinks I'm crazy, that it was "okay." That's fine: just means more tea for me!
So, an oolong I actually like? No. This I love.

How am I out of the loop, exactly?Ingenui-Tea wrote:not crazy, just out of the loop..
Who says I haven't already?Ingenui-Tea wrote:try double infusions.
If you read any of my other posts, you would know that I try a second infusion on all of my teas. And recommend them regularly.

White tea is expensive but worth it .. true jasmine`s aroma is perfect.
