Remember to spring forward tonight in the USA ... or you might miss breakfast
Welcome everyone to TeaDay, brew some tea and share what is in your cup today, all day. Don't forget to check out what is in everyone else's cup as well. You can also reflect back on your TeaDay if you need to.
Yesterday's topic, do you have too many teas open presently? You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is all about blending. So, whether you physically blend or have created your own Signature Blend, share with us about your blending experiences.
I am as always looking forward to seeing everyone on TeaDay! Bottoms up...refill.

Very rarely for hot tea. A blend of Assam and something lighter (basic China black/Ceylon) for iced tea quite a bit, though.

Have frequently blended some overdone scented teas (jasmines; Rishi's Peach Blossom) with plainer similar tea types to get a milder and tasty cup); frequently blend yunnan gold with osmanthus flowers, like this combo so much I haven't yet tried the osmanthus with other teas; and make mixed tisanes from a variety of herbs and seeds (tonight, chamomile, hibiscus, orange, hydrangea, saffron, and cinnamon, too heavy on the hibiscus, will brew some more with the other ingredients tomorrow and dilute to see if I can come up with a nice drink for the caffeine free part of the day).
Tomorrow, inspired by another discussion here, I may try some chocolate milk in Yunnan gold.
In the meantime, today started off basic with some Pouchong from Chado; and this evening I've been doing a comparative tasting of several Phoenix Oolongs.

Yes, I physically blend my own teas
Actually today I was drinking one of my blends, it´s Nine Bend Red Plum Keemun (which despite the name is unflavoured black tea) with Euro Té`s Piña Colada tisane

Sometimes I drink 5~ teas a day and try to blend some of the wet leaves for a combination brew. It's fun and leads to exciting discoveries, but I don't do it that much. I've roasted some tea though

.
Yunnan FOP. I really need some new tea...

I like blending den's guricha with their Maki fukamushi. A 50/50 blend yields a really good cuppa.
Deep steamed organic kabusecha from yuuki-cha in my cup this morning. This stuff is awesome.
Happy Birthday to you, CinnamonKitteh!:) I hope you have some special tea to brew today.

Thanks, Ed!
I blend teas every so often, but mostly for iced teas. My favorite is use a strong black tea as a base and then add some Orange Blossom Oolong or fresh lemon grass. I also have a tin of a blend two lower grade senchas that I use for cold brewing. They didn't work out well alone, but together they are pretty tasty. I have a pitcher of cold brewed Apricot Green and Green Anji (both Adagio) that I didn't have enough of each for a full pitcher of iced tea, but there was enough when I mixed them together. The result is pretty tasty.
Currently, I am starting the day off right with some Den's Organic Matcha. It's going to busy day, as not only is it my birthday, but I am co-hosting my cousin's bridal shower. I didn't pick the date for that; my aunt did, but at least it will be a good party. Later on will be cake from a local, awesome bakery and my fiance is cooking me steak and scallops for dinner.

I blend my own in-house teas from time to time. Sometimes to help mild out a flavor, sometimes for the heck of it, sometimes for the whimsy of it. And YES I do have Signature Blends - if you didn't know that, then you weren't paying attention
Seriously, I was one of the first Signature Blenders -my first blend "Wedding Cake" is still very popular (ironic considering that I do not really like it!). I helped launch the SereniTeas group of teas (props to Ilya, Beth Nelson, Jenn, and others who helped in one way or another).
I just recently removed a little over halfmy tea offerings and put up some all new ones - which I much better, imo!
Check 'em out!

I've never blended any tea. I often blend herbal ingredients together to boil. But it seems more like cooking to me. So I still chose no for this questions.
Besides some samples, I've never had any blended tea either. But I recently got some charcoal roast blend of Tie Guan Yin and Se Zhong, and am excited about trying it out

Happy Birthday CinnamonKitty!
Rainy, rainy day here, great type of day for lots of tea!
Started the day off with a Korean green from Hankook, which we have been enjoying all week. I don't remember if it was the organic Gamnong ...but next up will be matcha with the mod! Looking forward to sharing lots of tea this afternoon.
Chip does the blending, I do
'the enjoying' the results of his efforts.

No, I haven't created any Signature Blends. I have purchased one, though, called Raspberry Lime Rickey. It is excellent as an iced tea.
The only at-home blending I've done is to mix a few dribs and drabs of teas together to use them up. Or some Ceylon with an Assam or Darjeeling for iced tea.
Nilgiri Glendale in my cup this morning.
Happy Birthday Cinnamon Kitty!

I have one blended tea I created on Adagio.com. I wanted something good for iced tea, and played around with what was available to blend, and this is pretty good.
You can find my blend here:

As someone who greatly enjoys cooking and the blending of flavors, I'm all for blended tea - which explains why I have blended my own and made Signature Blends at Adagio, and while I haven't yet tried all of them (I'll get around to it, one tea at a time - just don't have the disposable income to buy them all right now, not to mention the sheer volume if I could get all the teas I wanted!!), I'm pretty pleased with the ones I have tried - and the one that's been reviewed by Zack!
Silver Needles with breakfast/lunch, and I'll probably hold off on making anything else until I go to work this evening. Fortunately, today I'll have enough time to actually eat something before I go in.

Happy Birthday Cinnamon Kitty!!
I had a primarily black Signature Blend back when Adagio first started the program, just to be involved and see what it was all about. I liked it at the time, but since have taken it down. I'm not very into blends.
