Hello all!

by laura99 » Mar 13th, '10, 20:43

I have been lurking here a while and thought it was time to introduce myself. I discovered loose leaf tea on a Kindle board I also lurk at and was hooked! I had already been reducing my coffee intake and drinking more tea – and now have been off coffee for about 6 months. Tea is so much more fun!

I started my journey with Teavanna. Lost respect for them when I visited the store. In searching the web for tea information, I found Adagio and this wonderful board.

I drink all types of teas, but am having the most fun now with discovering Japanese greens. I tried Den’s tea sampler (thanks to all of you!) and made my first order. I also just received my first Hagi tea cup made by Yamane Seigan. It is so wonderful to hold – here it is with some organic sencha.

Drinking a Roobios Vanilla right now- no caffeine at night for this gal.

Wow!! Great shot! Seigan blues are notoriously hard to photograph.
Nicely done! Welcome to the forum.

Is that a Seigan Blue Wan? Quite a nice way to make a great first impression! Welcome to TeaChat. I hope to see you around the forum.

I am sure you have checked out the Hagi topic under Teaware and Accessories?

I purchased the cup on Zencha.net. The name for the cup is seiryu ippuku wan. I just received it a few days ago and love it!

Yes, I have browsed the entire Hagi topic - so many beautiful pieces!

Maybe I've been lucky with my Seigan blues, they have always been extremely photogenic for me.

Laura,

Welcome, I wonder if you have been bitten by the hagi bug also... as you can tell from the topic there are a few of us here, I was a rather late comer to the party, but Chip Organizes these great Special Offers.

Yes Adam, your shots look great and other members too!! I apologize!!
It is just me that seems to have a very hard time getting them to look as beautiful and vibrant as they truly are.
