Welcome one and all to TeaDay. Brew some tea and come share what is in your cup through out the day. Be sure to check out what fellow TeaChatters are sipping as well. If you need to, you can also reflect back on your TeaDay.
Yesterday we discussed all things GREEN. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. I suppose you can interpret this in a number of ways. Please share your thoughts on how much you "think" about all things tea typically each day. Please be sure to share.
I am looking forward to hearing about what is in your cup, and your thoughts on tea today!

No idea, really. It's more than a drink to me or I wouldn't be here reading about it. I'll go with 60 mins too.
Re: Thursday TeaDay 3/18/10 "Thinking" about tea?
Lately it's been a lot, about 60 mins. My fingers are itching cause I know I'm going to my favorite tea store at saturday! I'm constantly thinking what teas and/or ware to buy.

I spend less than 30 minutes a day thinking about tea, but a lot more time drinking it.
Feeling pangs of envy concerning Seeker's Ancient Moonlight, because I don't have any. I have brewed up a batch of oolong instead. It works just fine.

More than 120 minutes a day, generally because I use this forum to pass the time while at work, and I dream about the tea that I will have when I get home!

Thinking about tea ... wake up thinking what tea to have, how to prepare, what to drink it in. Through the whole brewing process thinking about tea, while drinking the morning tea thinking about tea.
Checking the 2 forums I am regularly involved in ...
Later start thinking what tea is next, also random tea related thoughts. Next tea, and the next ... more time on the forums, preparing to go to bed thinking about what tea will begin the next TD.
TeaCreativity thoughts swirling through my head ...
If I somehow added up each minute, I would have to say it would be more than 120 minutes. How much of this "thinking time" is spent multi tasking ... hmmmm?

Well definitely more than 120 minutes. I am here reading the forum more than that. But not every minute. Unfortunately I do have to work.
(Of course I work to afford tea & teaware)
Started the morning with a nice black Mao Feng from Camellia Sinensis.
TGIT - Soooo looking forward to the weekend!!

Re: Thursday TeaDay 3/18/10 "Thinking" about tea?
ahhh who knows I don't time myself but I guess I am a little obsessed
quite a lot considering I usually take a really long time each tea session
I don't mean to but when I sit down and have tea time goes by extremely fast without me noticing, its not all spent on 'thinking' about tea, but like chip says I think about all the prep and what tea to have next etc etc
Then there's the 5 hrs at work where I just basically read through teablogs, vendor sites, and do a quick browsing of teachat
dens' Guricha this morning
unknown tgy for work

I think about tea basically all the time-- it's not necessarily the only thing, or the topmost thing, in my thoughts, but it's generally there unless I'm in class (physics takes precedent, sorry
) or asleep. I'm either drinking tea, especially when studying; thinking about which tea to drink; trying to figure out how much I'd need to work to save up for a couple of pu-erhs on which I have my eye; gazing longingly at teas in online tea stores; researching for a US history paper (...on tea...
); or planning for or attending my monthly tea party.
Yep. I'm a bit obsessed.
Looseleaf pu-erh right now, to be followed by some Chun Mee green tea in a couple of hours (cancelled art class = more time to drink tea) and maybe something herbal after dinner if the girlfriend doesn't want genmaicha.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 3/18/10 "Thinking" about tea?
I voted "Less than 120 minutes." That's up about 30 to 40 minutes a day since I found and joined TeaChat. I spend more time thinking about which tea I will have next, as I have many more choices.
This week, I received an order from Adagio of some samples, and a Sakura patterned kyusu made in Arita of porcelain from Den's, along with a sampler of Sakura sencha. Anything with cherry blossoms on it calls to me (last name is Cherry).
I didn't purchase the matching cups, but here's the vendors image. It's my first kyusu.
I'm awaiting my first refill of my Mariage Freres Marco Polo, also. Now I need more storage space for a certainty!
Breathing a bit better; inversion layer moved out of valley - we have blue skys & sunshine!

<90 mins. I think.
Some days less, some days way more.
Having my second cup of some 03 Menghai shu and winding down. Planning to bring a lot of sample bags and odds and ends to work tomorrow-it's going to be a 12+ hr day

Re: Thursday TeaDay 3/18/10 "Thinking" about tea?
Probably 30-45 mins a day, not including drinking time - since a fair amount of the time I'm drinking tea but not thinking about it because I'm doing something else. Would be more if I could get on here at work, I'm sure. But that's ok, I'd probably spend most of the day on here, then they'd fire me for not doing any work!
Then I wouldn't be able to afford tea
Gunpowder again this morning, none this afternoon, now I think it's time for some oolong while I prepare dinner!

Re: Thursday TeaDay 3/18/10 "Thinking" about tea?
this one is hard for me to answer, some days i think alot about tea (and drink quite a bit too), other days there is very little time to think about or drink tea. Especially lately with the nice weather and all the yard work to be done, i havent had as much time for drinking tea or hanging out on tea chat. I answered less than 90 minutes for an average.
