Yesterday we discussed how much tea liquid we consumed. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Welcome to TeaDay!!! Drink up, then share what's in your cup. So, stop by often or whenever you can and tell us what teas you are drinking today. Be sure to see what everyone else is drinking as well! Remember, everyone is welcome to TeaDay, so join in the fun.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about your dream vacation/journey. Would it include something tea...possibly??? The poll is somewhat limited in its scope. But maybe you have something in mind that was not a poll option. Please feel free to share with everyone...even if it is not TEA focused!
I really am looking forward to your responses on TeaDay...have a great TeaDay!

Feng Huang, Inner Anxi County and Wuyi Shan
with some river and ridge walks, and a couple of lakes
Hopefully in Guangdong there would be some teapicking in process with several 'She' maidens wearing the colourful native costume.
Hopefully in Anxi, I could compare a few of the prized villages and see how many of the older generation are still drinking the 'traditional' style.
Hopefully in Wuyi I could get away from the tourist traps and experience genuine Yan Cha.

Honestly, it's kinda sad to say, but I'd go back to France and/or Scotland again in a heartbeat. Both would be amazing. I feel like I should branch out more, but at the same time I know there are still so many things that I want to see in both places. And want to go back and see again. 3 months in France and 3 weeks in Scotland = still doing all the major touristy-stuff.
No tea yet, on my way out the door to go to work. Darjeeling this morning, I think.

I would love to visit Japan and Korea some day, but not so much for plantations. As much as I love tea, I'd rather be sightseeing, or shopping or checking out art or cultural events or just mingling with locals drinking tea.
In my cup this morning a black English Tea.
Have a nice day everyone!

Even though I suppose I'm a bit of a tea-novice and still researching and learning where all my favorite tea comes from, I did once read an article somewhere about Chinese mountain tea plantations and was quite fascinated. I certainly would like to visit them someday.
I have not had any tea yet today-- I'm still trying to figure out why I am awake this early!

Other. All my dream journeys would include tea, but only to drink it! I've enjoyed formal and informal teas in several cities and countries, and, at this point in my life, another cruise would probably be the only vacation I could handle. When we cruised Alaska, there were no tea bags for me; Holland America had great leaf teas available!
No tea yet this morning; but I'm about to go and make my choice.

Other. I'm a medievalist with a focus on (western) Europe, so... I'd like to spend time there. There's so much to see: museums, libraries, the architecture itself, etc. Tea would certainly be drunk, as it's big part of my daily life, but it wouldn't be the focus of my vacation.
East Friesian blend in my cup this morning. I just don't seem to want to wake up.

Japan is clearly the front runner with interest in China, Taiwan, Korea, Darjeeling rounding out the list. These destinations are each so unique and different from each other, yet so diverse individually as well.
Began the TD with Gamnong from Hankook ... I think I used the last of it. This was an interesting discovery tea as previous attempts with Korean greens left me ambivilant! This was quite good. SweeTea joined in the farewell session while Lili and Pyrit just visited the TeaTable today.
Gamnong served in a Korean "travel set" also from Hankook.

Agreed on the vacation destinations, although I believe China would be a distant 2nd choice for me.Chip wrote:Japan is clearly the front runner with interest in China,

+1 on the Gamnong, I too hate to see the end of this somewhat surprisingly tasteful tea!
Getting ready to brew some Darjeeling at work, will be drinking it from a gifted guinomi.
Have a TEArrific TD everyone.

Have to say other. While i would love to visit a tea plantation one day, i am not sure it would be the focus of an entire trip, there is so much more of the world to see.
Starting out with high mountain oolong from norbu.
