Re: Friday TeaDay 4/2/10 Fave or best March Tea?
Thinking back, I've had a few favorites this last month...an herbal lavender tea, a flavored white tea, a good pu-erh...but I think black is still the winner.

Hou de's Shui Jin Gui was my fave tea in March. My second favorite was O-Cha's Matcha Kiku Mukashi.
Last tea of the day was White Peony from Tea Gallery.

My fav's were (both end of month pkg openings) Ippodo Nodoka spring matcha, and from Yuuki, Organic Kagoshima Sencha Yuuki Yutaka. Both sensational teas. Mmmmm, mmmm good!
Finishing up my j g mix from this morning (using 212*), and also a fresh organic mint tisane - amazing how wonderful a bunch of fresh mint, stems and all can be as a tea!

My favourite in March was an oolong...Muzha Tiequanyin from Floating Leaves Tea...it´s so warm and roasty and gives me a very comforting feeling...something I really need in March when my allergies are bad and I´m getting bummed that the snow is taking forever to melt.
I´m drinking a bit of 2nd Flush Sungma Clonal Wonder before bed tonight...only have a teeny bit left but it´s oh so delicious...more simple than the other 2nd flush darjeelings I bought from Thunderbolt but I really like it´s musky grapes flavour and it´s very satisfying.

Wonderful and white, specifically White Peony. I'll be having a lot more Silver Needle in the weeks to come, as I associate it with summertime for some reason.
Today it's oolong, though.

My favorite was my pu-erh brick, definitely. It was my first time ever having non-looseleaf pu-erh, and the brick just blew everything else out of the water!
Pu-erh with magnolia petals right now, to be followed by a rosemary tisane (another favorite) later.

It is a Sencha drought around here, but thankfully, I found this in the back of the TeaCave. I have dubbed it Mystery Sencha from Ryu Mei, a bit of an enigma, but it is quite different and turns out pretty darn good.
In fact, began the day with it served up in an Ao Tebineri Yunomi/Wan! SweeTea is impressed with it as well, while Pyrit and Lili were more concerned with hanging out with the huuumaaans.

Imperial Red from Silk Road Teas was my fav in March. I found myself turning to it for color, briskness, and comfort quite often.
Craving a hot cross bun today; but the bakeries here say there is absolutely no call for them. We used to have a couple of bakeries that made them. I guess we hot cross bun eaters are dying off!

Well hard to say, probably a black. Been trying to get though some older stash.
Started my day with Yunnan Gold past its prime, continuing now with an older oolong.

My favorite tea for march was an oolong. Many other good ones but a nice session and first session of shui jin gui.
I can't get over the roast flavor and many many infusions from it.
qi lan in my cup today

My fave was Den's Sakura Sencha. I only drink it during the month of March - and it definitely put me in spring mood in spite of the not-so-spring weather here in the NW.
Drinking Sun-Moon Lake black this morning.

It was a green. I would say Wakamatsu no mukashi matcha (Ippodo): I had some very good koicha last month.
Kame Jiru Shi gyokuro this evening.

Hm, I think definitely oolong. Drank though a lot of oolong samples last month, and enjoyed all of them! Green comes in second though, since I'm still learning. Definitely starting to enjoy them more than I had previously though.
Started out the morning with Darjeeling, then Caramel Delight in the afternoon at work. Got out of work early due to the sunshine and general lack of things to do at work! Now, off to be social, as I have a good friend in town this weekend!!
