Is it possible to roast green rooibos tea?
I was hoping someone has ventured into experimenting with roasting tea and could shed some light on the topic. I will be trying to roast green rooibos tea after i try it straight. Also will be trying to roast Yerba Mate. If anyone has done this please let me know what would be the best way to go about it as well as directions.

It was horrible! I think I roasted it for too long.I ended up just throwing out what i roasted, as well as the yerba mate. I ordered some roasted mate from nmteaco.com. They have a nice selection of teas and very friendly staff. I got the roasted mate for free as well as jasmine pearl

TeaExperiments are not always successful, especially the first attempt.
A suggestion if you dare to try again, keep the "tea" moving or it will scorch. Also remove it from the heat and pan/roaster BEFORE it is done ... it will continue to roast for a few seconds or so.

I believe there was too much tea in the pan so it roasted unevenly, and it was scorched
