It is TeaDay everyone. So, bring your cup of tea and share with everyone what teas you are drinking today. Half the fun is seeing what teas other TeaChatters are sipping as well.
Here ye here ye! By order of the Queen, Saturday and Sunday have been declared English TeaPot Extravaganza Days!
Remember, Saturday and Sunday are Western/English Style Traditional TEAPOT Extravaganza Days! So, bring 'em on, show us what you got. The oft neglected English TeaPot will be the focus of TeaDay throughout the weekend.
SOOO, get snapping, participate, comment ... heck even I will abandon talk of Kyusu-s for these two days.
And I am working on GCs for participants who post photos of their qualifying TEAPOTS!
Yesterday we discussed our preferences when it comes to Green teas. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Share with us if you care to about your experience with White tea. Love it, like it, hate it, yet to try it. Let it all out here. Are there some White teas you like more than others?
I will be looking for you on TeaDay and hope you honor us with sharing what is in your cup! Bottoms up. [/b]

White tea....I drink nearly everyday when I have it...I always seem to run out of white tea.
Blacks and Oolongs I tend to buy several varieties at once so they last a while...white tea I usually only buy 100-200g at a time and then I drink a lot of it until it´s gone...
Mmmm....maybe I should buy more at once even if it´s only one or two whites.
The problem is most vendors only have a handfull of white tea varieties at best...so I buy one or two and that´s it.

Love it! White Peony..... Just very hard to come by for any good, true white. Its like having all the good tea flavor I like in one cup; darjeeling, eastern beauty, white puerh, some yixing red, and a kiss of my favorite Dahongpao. Best of all... it could be aged!

Some days they seem too mild, some days they're subtly gorgeous. Depends on my mood. Like the green teas, it's all about the infusion conditions for me. I tend to drink them in the evening.
Like a nice cup of silver needle or bai mu dan, and recently have been infatuated with a green-looking 'anji white tea' from wing hop fung that is just magnificent.

Haha excellent title reference.
Unfortunately I don't enjoy white teas nor do I own an English styled teapot. I've tried several different white teas and every time I though to myself "why am I not drinking something else?". Its not that it taste bad to my palate, its just that it isn't good.
Just finished some oolong #40 from adagio.

I have White tea occasionally. White Peony is my favorite generally speaking. But my friend from the Netherlands sends me this lovely white with rose that is so delicate and perfect, I save it for special times when I can really savor it.

Occasional white tea drinker here. I really like them but find myself gravitating to other teas more frequently. Silver needle is da bomb when I'm in the mood for it!
Happy Friday! Have a great day!

I enjoy white tea (white peony, silver needles, Adam's Peak, ...) and always keep some around. Lately I've been brewing it in a banko kyusu. Mmmm... delicious!
Jing's traditional Shui Xian with breakfast this morning.

Silver needles is my favorite and especially the bai hao yin zhen.

I find white tea quite enjoyable, a nice, light refreshingly easy tea to brew and to drink. The delicate flavor is very pleasing to the palate and I enjoy it whenever I get the chance to imbibe.
Currently in my cup at work is a revisit to Adagio's new Anhui Keemun from the Maestro Series. I found the aroma to be a bit smokey, as well as the nuances with first and 2nd steeps. The smokiness is still prevalent this morning. Did anyone else experience this, as I found this to be a bit uncommon for Keemun ... or not?
Have a wonderful TeaWeekend everyone.

I really like it and drink a lot of it, Pai Mu Tan mostly, I have only tried one Silver Needle but it wasn't very good. Any suggestions on good vendors for yin zhen?
The Pai Mu Tan which I have is an absolutely winner, it's magic tea...sends me soaring into the sky. Unfortunately it's the last batch because the shop has closed! Sooooo...any good online vendors for that? How is the white from yunnansourcing?
Drinking coffee right now. Sorry!

I like white tea but don't drink it very often. In Chinese traditional medical theories (which are not backed up by modern science, but practiced by many people), white tea is the tea with strongest cooling power. My body more easily feels cold than warm. So most of the time, the inner me demands tea with warming power, such as traditional style oolong
