Wednesday TeaDay 4/21/10 Don't drink the cool aide?

by Chip » Apr 21st, '10, 01:45

TGITeaDay!!! I plan on drinking a lot of tea today, how about you???

So, welcome again to TeaDay. Brew some tea, share with TeaChatters what is in your cup now and throughout the day. Also, be sure to check out what everyone else is sipping ... so you will have to check back often.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about what is your #1 beverage poison, er passion. Your prefered beverage. Does TEA reign supreme? Be sure to share with everyone as you share what is in your cup if you only had one choice!!!

OK, everyone, have a super TeaDay!

Water is definitely number one, closely followed by tea then juices. But to be completely honest, I have noticed that my beverage preference depends on the seasons. For instance, tea would probably be my number one drink during the fall and winter while iced water would be my favorite drink during the hotter summer months.

When I´m at home and can drink whatever I feel like I usually drink more tea than plain water  but the water´s a close second.

When I´m out of the house I drink more water than tea because I can always get water wherever I am...but then I really miss the tea :(

I quit alcholholic beverages entirely and I severely restrict soda (I drink it less than once a month) energy drinks I treat like soda because they have so much sugar.

I don´t really enjoy milk or soy milk either.

I do like coffee and tisanes but I dont have them every day and dont give them the same attention as tea.

juice...I dont really get into...but pure lime or lemon juice diluted a bit with water or tea or pure black cherry I have a few times a week...but that´s more a natural way to reduce allergy symptoms than for drinking pleasure. Would rather actually eat a fruit than drink the juice xD

Iced tea is number one- followed by water and then hot tea/coffee. Once a week is a soda or energy drink. A real treat is a milkshake occasionally.

Water is first, then tea, milk and fruit juice.

I'd go with water (many times a day), then tea (a few to several times a day), then juice (usually a small glass of it every day), then soda (1x/week, give or take).
Edit: wine or other alcoholic beverage totals more than soda, now that I think about it...

Leaving for work just now, thinking oolong again this morning. Might have to shelve the gunpowder for a while though, for some reason the more of it I drink, the more smoky and bitter it tastes. Maybe setting it aside for a few weeks will help...

I didn't think of it as what I drank the most of, just what I was most passionate about, and that is tea. I can't really be passionate about water, but I do drink it often at work. Although they make a decent iced tea, I know I shouldn't drink tea and no water.

Another steep of Sugar Caramel Oolong before I start my day.

Other -- Just Plain Milk - absolutely love it - but must limit it. So next is hot tea, fruit juices, and water if there is nothing else available!!! Wine and spirits on a very limited basis (3 or 4 times a year) because it clashes w/meds.

Just had a cup of MF Marco Polo. Felt I needed a special treat this morning.

Tea. Water is lovely, but if I have water, I can probably make tea.

I think this is an oolong sort of day. Maybe a nice baozhong to start.

Tea - but fruit juice is a close 2nd.

Drinking my magical green kukicha. It's pretty awesome. It makes me feel like I just grew an extra brain, or like there's little gnomes running around in my head to clear away all the clutter.

Water...then tea, then everything else.

Some yunnan black from SBC this morning. With milk! Just the way my sweetie buttercup likes it (^^)
