My first gyokuro aracha

I LOVE IT! I just thought I'd tell you. This tea has the most evident umami that I've come across. It is wonderfully clear and lively. The bright clear liquor is almost a florescent color. And I found some major twig(age) in the bag (as you can see by the 2nd picture) ^_^

(sorry for the quality, took pix on cellphone)

My first steeping yesterday was a bit misguided, I prepared it like I do my longjing, but these leaves are more delicate, so I've taken to steeping for around 2 minutes at 60*C thanks to the suggestions of a few people on TC.

I have been waiting to try this Gyokuor Aracha for a while, very curious about it!

I would expect "twiggage" as aracha has not gone through the sorting process. Also a wide range of leaf sizes.

Thanks for sharing with us, Wabbit!
