It is TeaDay again ... of course. Please visit often and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed our user names. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Hmmm, a bit of writer's block which actually happens pretty much when trying to come up with topics for TeaDay.
OK, I hope this one works out. From where you most enjoy drinking tea, what does the predominant view consist of? Please share the view from where you sip. And of course I could never have options for everything.
I am looking forward to sharing POVs from our TeaTables. Bottoms up.

Re: Monday TeaDay 5/24/10 TeaViews?
At home I drink at my desk with my computer in front of me (it's a small apartment)... There's two big windows in front of me though, and just outside the windows a huge maple, whose new branches are starting to grow inside my apartment
.
I'd like a space dedicated to tea, because sometimes the computer steals my attention.
Now and then I drink in the garden at my parents' place.

Re: Monday TeaDay 5/24/10 TeaViews?
For breakfast tea I look out into the garden through a sliding, open glass door.
My 11 o'clock tea I have in front of my computer.
My afternoon tea depends on the weather. Rain or like now blasting hot I sit on the same spot as for breakfast. Otherwise in the garden beside a fish basin and in front of an aquarium.
My nightcap pu-erh tea I take usually indoors reading or occasionally glancing at the IB with one eye. (IB our house term for TV and stands for Idiot Box)

I just started drinking tea. And so far, all of the time I am drinking it in front of the computer.
Sip of today is Wild White Tea Bud. Got some samples. Tasted Flowerish and Light. After taste is quite ok at the throat.

Favorite view for tea is our room with a view of the pond out back through triple french doors. If the weather is nice, then out on the deck for the same view.
But quite often, such as now at work, the view is the computer screen.
YM Shincha this morning - YUM!

Right now, I'm staying at my mother's house, so I voted according to my tea view while I'm here. I have a nice window view from any room, but the view from the kitchen (where I am right now) is really great-- we have a very tiny back yard which we share with a neighbor, but this neighbor has a lovely garden! Aside from that, the view consists of the interior of the kitchen, my computer, and my "nest"-- whatever art, sewing, puzzles, or books I've pulled out and am engrossed in.
Rose congou in my cup to start the day.

As my day mostly consists of sitting in my big blue lift recliner, I have all my tea in our living room.
Two windows to the front yard bring in north light and the sight of big, beautiful trees across the street. Paintings by professional artists, several of whom are friends, and a couple of my own modest works, brighten my off-white walls.
There is some teaware on display, both Eastern and Western style.
My laptop is on a swing-arm "Air Desk," upon which my teapot and cup can sit as well as the TV remote.
For once in my life, I can say there are no "books" right in this room, because I just purchased my second Kindle! I've given my first one to my DIL and 13 year old granddaughter. So, my "library" is right here in one little 10.5 ounce Kindle. Love it, love it, love it.!!
So, tea easily accompanies any activity I choose.
Keemun Symphony and Masters Series Yunnan Gold from Adagio in my cup yesterday and probably again today.

Outside for sure!
I love sitting out on the front or back porch. We have a quite neigborhood(most of the time) and a forest behind the house so we get lots of wildlife wondering around the yard. Lots of trees too so its a nice scene to sit relax and drink up.
Second would be on the puter!

Most of the time I am right here at the computer. I am in my loft office. I have 2 desks placed together in an "L" shape, so I have a lot of space to brew up here. I see my computer and tea table. I can also look down
through an outdoor window and see the front yard. Behind me is a window to the back yard, with giant eucalyptus trees. I like the open space up here.
In my cup this morning 2010 AliShan from Hou De.
Have a nice day everyone!

I just ordered a new Kindle myself! My current one will be going to my Mother and I am so looking forward to bringing it to her this weekend. We are going to share an account as we have a fairly close interest in books - and she can start with all of those I have accumulated in the last year.artmom wrote:For once in my life, I can say there are no "books" right in this room, because I just purchased my second Kindle! Front and center is a view of the TeaTable which is oft too cluttered ... trying to break that habit. Then views of teaware, mostly Japanese, TC TAs, and some Chinese and Taiwanese. Also TEA ... and canisters. And some art ... a scroll of cranes.
Began the TD with Yutaka Midori Supreme from O-Cha. SweeTea would not miss this ... however Pyrit and Shincha just stopped by to visit the TeaTable.

1: I have a "coffee table" which is set up in front of my 3rd floor window which faces a large river, I sit on a pillow on the floor while I sip.
2: I like to sit out in the yard... not really a garden view, but a green(ness) view non-the-less.
3: The 'puter while on teachat!
