Zencha sample

by J. » Jun 1st, '10, 06:31

Hello,
with my latest zencha order, I recieved a teabag.

I tried to read the things that were written on it, unsuccesfully.
As I can't read japanese signs, I have only understood :cha, cha, cha, and 2 to 3 people.

Can someone tell me what I recieved and how to prepare it?

Ive had that sample too..I am sure its their "Yame Premium Teabag" its first flush 88 day tea. Its listed on their site under the Yame section. All they say under the brewing guide is 2 minutes in hot water for their tebags.

The bag just says "signature tea". To sum up the instructions: Take some tea and steep it! Anywhere, anytime. One bag serves 2-3 people. Usually I tear the tea-bag open, steep it in a gaiwan and then set it out for the chickens to drink it. But if you want to just enjoy it yourself, maybe pop it in a kyuusu and use not-nearly-boiling water to infuse it for just 30 secs or so. 3-4 infusions? Sounds like an adventure. have fun :)

As far as teabags go, this one was not bad at all. Certainly in the top 3 or so Japanese sencha teabags I have ever had.
