Re: Sunday Teaday 6/6/10 Your TD rating?
Great teadays last month. They could have been better but a lot of work (end of the school year) and a travel with my class prevented me to drink as many teas I would have wanted.
Golden needles this morning.

Re: Sunday Teaday 6/6/10 Your TD rating?
Only after the last days of the months things changed for the better and I could again enjoy daily variations of my afternoon teas. Reason, the first 20+ days of May were oppressively hot with high humidity which makes heat worse and I had to stick with only one wu yi oolong tea since it was the best to drink in this heat.
My afternoon tea today was a green tea 'Ding Gu Da Fang' 2009. Lovely tea, however, 2008 was better as for aroma. Waiting now for 2010.

Very good tea days this past month and that is about the same as usual.
No tea yet this morning; up earlier than usual for me. My cuppa' this morning will probably be rose congou or MF Marco Polo.

Great, I've been able to taste so many new teas and above all, met some new tea people!

It's been great with the new Spring Oolongs, I'm a happy camper.
Starting the day with 2010 FF Puttabong Queen from Tea Emporium.

Thanks for B&Wing our TD, Brandon!
They have been virtually "bestest." And they have been BETTER. Previous to the release of Shincha, virtually any sencha worth drinking had been longgg depleted.
So, I was really jonesing for the good stuff. Shincha was like a flood of greatness this year, so far, still more to open and try. But the stark contrast to the nothingness that came before, just heightened the experience.
Began the TD with Shincha Traditional from Hibiki-an which came out pretty good this time around. SweeTea enoyed hers while Pyrit and Ceylong visited the TeaTable today.

TD's have been fair this month. I just haven't felt like as much tea with the hot hot heat, nor have I had the time/made the time as often this month to enjoy my tea as the month before.
52teas banana peach green in my cup this morning.

I say "fair" as I moved twice in the last month and lost my electric water kettle, space for all my tea tins, and now have to exclusively use one teapot and keep the others in storage, plus there was that week or so when I had no tea at all.
However, since I've settled into my summer home and figured out a system, the tea days have gotten better.
Drinking my first cuppa the day as I write this. White Chai and Banana Hazelnut Muffin blend. Mmm.

Mine were "fair", also because I was doing a lot of moving around over the past month (my dorm to my father's apartment for a couple days, then from there to my mom's house), and I had final exams and papers to write. I couldn't drink as much tea as I wanted because of how busy I was, but now things have settled down and this month is looking good.
I started the TeaDay before I went to bed, technically (1:00 AM tea, hehe) with some shoumei white tea. Right now, I'm drinking pu-erh with magnolia petals. The store where I bought it appears to have stopped selling it, so I'll have to find some other type of flowery pu-erh. I have my eye on several.

Re: Sunday Teaday 6/6/10 Your TD rating?
Better: mostly because my tea-brewing skills are getting better. Still some day when I can't do anything right, or get too rushed, but I'm also getting better at making use of the possibilities when I do have to rush--picking the tea that performs better under that constraint.
The highs were certainly 10s, the lows were 2s or 3s, and most cups were at least 6-8.
Today is starting off well, with a 9 brewing of Tenryu Misakubo organic shincha from Yuuki-Cha (more in the shincha review topic) and now enjoying a delightful gongfu session of a 2007 Autumn Xi-Zhi Hao "Pu Zheng Yuan Cha"--probably an 8 or a 9, because I started with too little leaf--long skinny leaves and branches, hard to fit in my small pot.

My TD rating would be a solid 7, sometimes its a 10 but sometimes its a 5 or 6, and I have had some below.
Today I am glad to announce I self published a project I have been working on for quite some time on Lulu. It was inspired by the fact that I like to write poetry while enjoying tea, and try and get interesting pictures to capture the aspect of experiencing tea.
It is called In Each Sip a Story, and currently it is only available through the Lulu marketplace.

Re: Sunday Teaday 6/6/10 Your TD rating?
Ended up having Adagio's Black Pearl tea this morning; then tossed in a little rose congou for two later steeps. Worked nicely.
GD Alex brought her new 1 year old beagle, Bella, over for a "play-date" with our 1 year old terrier, Barclay. They were fun to watch--my carpet will be worn out soon if it happens very often, though. They are whirlwinds.
Plan on at least one more cuppa' tonight. Maybe I'll try something new.
