Replacement TriniTEA carafe alternatives

by teaintennessee » Jun 7th, '10, 16:51

Our carafe dropped and broke after a couple of years and I was just curious if anyone has had luck with a carafe from a coffeemaker or other source that works in the trinitTEA. $20 seems a little steep to me but I'll certainly order a replacement if it's a custom size. Just wanted to check here first. Thanks! :)

Hi,

I'm not sure about using a caraffe from another source. The caraffes are custom built to fit the TriniTEA, and the unit itself has a safety system in place which prevents it from being turned on unless everything is in place. Please feel free to try to find an outside replacement though. You might luck out :o

We've had another broken carafé. :(

Has anyone found an alternative carafé that will fit the older trinitea? I keep eyeing the larger teamaker from Breville but hate to toss this one since it still is working...
