I would definitely say yes, I am a TeaWARE Adventurist. I love all types of teaware and love brewing by different techniques in all different types of teaware. Collecting and enjoying, it's all good.

Not so sure about this one. Teachaters might say Im not but others definatly would. Im into yixing pots, hagi cups for green. Porcelain and celadon cups for gong fu. I use a tiny 60ml celadon gaiwan most of time and a 100ml sometimes. A large glass teapot for everything in between so to the average tchater Im probably "Normal" but for everyone else Im an adventurist.

rou gui this morning as I get ready for a camping/hiking trip in tennessee today (around gatlinburg area but not in the city). So everyone have a great week I wont be around until Sunday night.

Having 23 different tea pots and 34 different tea cups, if my counting is right, I think I must be nuts which is not asked for.

That's a good question. Was chatting with a teapot collector yesterday about the same subject, and so far we both have not acquire something that we'd regret, resell or want to get rid off.... Knock on wood.

Brad, you'll be 38 miles from me there in Gatlinburg! Enjoy your hiking/camping in our lovely, old mountains, but watch the bears. They've been hungry this year and are being bolder than usual.

Today's answer is the same as yesterday's. TCers might say Im not but those around me would. Lots of Western style pots and cups; few Eastern, but more all the time. :)

No tea yet this morning.

I would say that I'm not very adventurous NOW, but probably will be in the future. Budget issues don't let me go too overboard on teaware, and right now I would rather spend $$ on tea. Although I have been eyeing some of the turqouise pieces from Bill Perrine (Split-Fire Pottery).

Yunnan from Puehrshop.com in my cup this morning.

Unfortunately, my college student budget does not allow me to be adventurous, but I certainly would be if I had more money! For the time being, though, I had to answer "no". My collection amounts to a bunch of really neat mugs and teacups that I've picked up at secondhand and vintage shops.

Pu-erh this morning, in what my friends jokingly call my "Rainbow Brite" mug. (No, it doesn't have her on it, just a gigantic rainbow swirl.)

I am not very adventurous since I quite exclusively own classical Japanese teaware.

Kuradashi gyokuro this afternoon.

Ever since I got a job at Adagio, I've been experimenting with their teawares.... prior, I was pretty traditional. I really liked the ceramic cups and teapots that I got from China and the ones my family has from Uzbekistan, which no doubt are Chinese in origin. So I was skeptical at first at trying the Adagio gear. Now I really dig them. The Ingenuitea is a great piece but I prefer the Glass mug & Infuser. I also use the Trinitea tea maker at work everyday and really love the simplicity of it. I like the modern designs and they work quite well. I also can't really notice a different in taste. At home when my family has dinner parties, we still use China because it just looks nicer :) So in the looks department, I like more traditional teaware. I'm def interested in exploring modern & traditional teawares. Very adventurous !!

I'm not compared with other users on here, but with my own network of friends they are always amused by my teaware purchases. My husband thinks I have too many tea gadgets...I disagree.

Maple Black tea this morning.

+1, geeber, you're dead on for me too. I'd rather have high-quality awesome tea in the pieces I've slowly collected over the years. And stop thinking about those turquoise pieces, buy one. They're amazing. I took one to work and use it every day - I've gotten a couple comments from coworkers. They're wonderful to hold, beautiful to look at, and the two turquoise ones I got are really nice sizes (not to say that the other one isn't, as it's only just slightly smaller, but I turn to things with handles first, typically, which means the turquoise one gets a bit more use everyday - though the other one gets used for greens more often than not).

Came home for lunch today, Yunnan Noir so far at work, we'll see what the afternoon brings. It's the boyfriend's birthday today, so likely no tea with dinner tonight, since we will have a celebratory bottle of wine instead!
