by Chip » Jun 17th, '10, 02:17

Welcome everyone to TeaDay, Please share what is in our cups today...all day!!!

Yesterday we discuss a grade for our teas the first 6 months of this year. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about teaware priorities...what are yours. Any teaware purchases on your radar? Please share. If more than one, please share!

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up, refill, and repeat often...

I have a few items I NEED! My most important right now would be a thermos. Every day I go to work I spend money that I could have saved if I just brewed my own tea everyday.

Just broke one of my gaiwans that I use for comparative tastings, part of a matched group. They're cheap enough that I should just break down and buy several spares at once rather than as I break them....

And as it happens I'm finishing off the evening with Lao Mansa Puerh brewed in one of the still-intact gaiwans from this group.

Nothing right now.

Recently quaffed a smidgen of jasmine white peony.

I've been collecting individual teacups from thrift shops the last month or so. 10 cups/saucers sets so far and counting. Running out of room so I will have to stop. But I would like another teapot.

TeaPriority right now is going straight to tea. I don't have enough budget-room to do both, and I'd rather have good tea.

Nothing yet, contemplating my work tea now...

I'm considering a couple of kyusu right now, but I don't need them.
So. Yet the force is strong. LOL.

Starting the morning with Sungma Darjeeling from Special Teas.

Yay it's Thursday, have a nice day everyone!

I've been scouting secondhand/antique shops for cool teapots lately, but no luck as of yet. Maybe it's for the better, as I would have to actually get it back to my dorm in the fall intact... :?

Yunnan black tea this morning.

A kyusu is my top teaware priority although I don't see myself buying anything tea realated...for that matter anything at all thats not a neccessity at the moment. :( I don't have a summer job yet(some good prospects), I hope to attend a more pricey college next year and most likely will need to replace my poor little 91 toyota corolla that has become a rust bucket 8) . So with all that going on I have a bad feeling about my tea budget next year. I have good tea in my cup today and Im sure with a little work everything will turn out fine.

drinking more tie luo han this morning

I'm actively looking for a tray for using with my Asian-style Teaware. There are so many attractive ones out there that I can't make up my mind! :)

No tea yet this morning; but shortly.

Probably my next purchase will be a clay stove + kettle, but that won't be for a good while yet :P .

Probably some kukicha soon.

Next on my list is a kyusu with a ceramic filter. Guess I don't really need it, but feel like I do :).

What I probably should purchase next is a scale. But I see that being something I would use minimally when figuring out a new tea, so harder to put out the money for it. New teaware is so much more fun :)

Started today with yunnan golden curls, now some white peony.

My next purchase will likely be some sort of kyusu. Hopefully cheap, but we'll see how that turns out.

No tea this morning  About to depart for the weekend.

Yoga Chai, Ayurvedic chai blend 2010 from Lochan was in my cup this morning. Pleasing, but nothing to write home about. :)
