Currently living with my father, so no roadtrips here.

Tea will be involved as it is every day, but nothing out of the ordinary for Father's day. I have yet to succeed in converting him :P

Whew, this topic really scared me, I though it was father's day in here too and I had completely forgotten about it. Luckily it's not until november :P.

Just tried some 'Alishan High Mountain King's Grade'. Nice, a little too subtle for this moment but nice.

Our son took his dad golfing this morning. Other son will visit later. They all do coffee or iced tea (which I don't do), so I'll be imbibing in Tea alone, as usual. Well, not alone any more, actually; I usually peruse TeaChat while drinking. :D

No tea yet, but shortly.

Dad's no longer with us, but if he was, we'd be sharing a cuppa' and watching World Cup!

Voted nope and nope.

Staying home and tea will not be anything "special" related to the day. That is not saying I won't be having any tea..... just that it will be no different than a normal day.

best,

...........john

Happy Father's Day to our TeaChat Dads!

I typically travel for this holiday - we go to Houston and my husband and my dad go on a sushi bar crawl (my mother and I are allergic to seafood, so this is VERY special for them).

But, this year I am near the end of my dissertation (2 more months - eegads!) and I honestly couldn't spare the time. So, my daddy is coming up here this year. We are going to watch some World Cup football and go have some Indian food for dinner. Inbetween all that my mom will be helping me with my paper - everybody's happy!

As for tea...I am having some right now, but I will likely make some iced tea for later (it is pretty dern hot here - mid to upper 90s)...might even get my mom to try one of my caffeine free blends...MAYBE, if it isn't packed and we feel like it, we might go to The Steeping Room for lunch - but we'll see.

Have a good one all!

My dad's working today, all day :(. I'll be visiting him tomorrow instead.

We made an epic roadtrip to the supermarket to pick up juice and pizza then popped into my mum's house as she is taking my daughter swimming. Lying in the garden drinking fruit juice, I'm working up to tea but it might be a few hours before I manage - it's a tough life.

I'm staying at my mom's house for the summer, and the town where she lives is small enough that going to the grocery store really is a bit of a road trip. (It's like ten minutes by car to the nearest grocery store, twenty to the Walmart, and twenty-five to the next town. 8) ) So yes, I will be on the road because I help my mom with errands and such when I'm home.

Tea is figuring into the day, as usual. Currently drinking magnolia-scented pu-erh. Next batch is my last, but I'm not sure that I'll replace it because it's sooooo perfumey. (And I love flower-scented teas! )

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to the dads here on TeaChat!

No traveling today, just a phone call to my dad in Colorado. And yes, tea will figure into my plans, like it does every day.

Happy Father's Day to all the 'chatters who are dads, have a dad, know a dad and/or may someday be a dad (did I get everybody? 8) )

Already tea had figured in my day...shared a big pot with DH on the deck as he ate his favorite weekend breakfast...over-medium eggs, bacon and toast. It is about 75 degrees now, but the forecast is for about 95 with (normal for us) high humidity. DH and kids (19 and almost 21) may go to Six Flags, but after the same trip on the same hot day last year, I have opted out!
Or we my go see my in-laws for some cake and iced tea in the afternoon (that gets my vote!).

Hug 'em if you got 'em!

Second try at Formosa Ruby Black Tea today. Sort of reminded me of the Emperor's New Clothes -- I just don't catch the cinnamon and mint taste or aroma mentioned by others. I will try again, though, because it's good black tea. :)

Son just dropped by immediately after his dad got back from golf with the other son. I know my boys. :D Good sons.

If going across town counts as traveling yes, but tea will just be normal tea day.

The family is getting together not just for Father's day, but DH and sisters birthdays as well!

Started today with Yutaka Midori Kaoru Supreme LE. I don't have the ability to describe this like you experts do, so I will just say WOW! That first cup was the best cup of green tea I have ever had. Brewed it three more times - these were about on par with the classic YM I have been drinking (which is very good).

Have not had the chance to sample any others yet. Was going to try one of the silver needles, but time got away from me.
