'tis TeaDay. Again. And again we ask that you stop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day!
Yesterday we discussed cold brewing of ... iced tea of course. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. It is the end of another month, in fact it is virtual midpoint of 2010. But for today, what was the best or your fave tea for the month of June? Please be sure to share details with us.
I am looking forward to sharing fave teas and TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

First time answering Japanese GREEN!
Yutaka Midori Kaoru Supreme LE from O-Cha is amazing!
Also my only new tea since my FLT order in March(ish?) is the Sincha OTTI and my stocks are pretty low so there wasn´t a lot of competition from my usual favourites, 2nd flush Darjeeling and roasty oolongs.

For sure it was Lu An Gua Pian a Chinese green tea. What an experience.
aroma and flavor just great. What do I call those Chinese tea masters: magicians.
Breakfast tea was Yunnan Golden Bud another delight to drink and my upcoming afternoon tea will be a Jade TGY. Not bad, not bad.
Yes this was autumn 2009 and the aroma is gone. What is left of this tea about 2 servings for 550 ml each will go now to breakfast common tea and spiced with jade cannon balls.
I had a Jade TGY autumn 2008 from another source and the aroma and flavor kept almost a full year. That were 100 g. Good I bought from this now only 50 g.

I have been digging Banaspaty Bliss from LeafSpa Tea to replace my morning cup of coffee. Love it!

Fav new tea for June was Formosa Ruby Black. It grew on me.
A wonderful, mellow tea, even though I never tasted (or captured the aroma) of mint and cinnamon, as mentioned on the website.
No tea yet this morning; might try a second flush darjeeling from the Lochan company second tasting of the year.

I've really been into the sencha with flower petals-- either jasmine or rose-- this month. Pu-erh and Yunnan black are still waaaaay up there, though.
Keemun this morning. Another one near the top of my favorites list.

Adagio Masters Collection TKY was probably my favorite for June. Doing a lot of oolong tastings right now, but keep coming back to the TKY.
FLT AliShan DinHu in my cup this morning.
Have a nice day everyone.

Fave tea for June is Yutaka Midori Kaoru Supreme LE! Second place would be a surprise in Adagio's spring Darjeeling.
Doing some more tasting on the OTTI shincha's this morning. Had my second session with Maeda-En Gold, and then followed that up with YM Classic (this one I had already purchased). I'll have to say the gold is quite good, but a bit boring compared to either of the YM's.
Was going to have my second session of the O-Cha SM so I could compare these all at once, but with the Dragon pearls I had first thing in the morning, I think I have slammed into my caffeine limit!

My favorite this month is a Chinese oolong. tie luo han to be more specific. At first I wasn't so sure I liked it much because of the astringent touch it gives but it was grown on me and I couldn't imagine it without that little bite to it.
qi lan again this morning

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 6/30/10 Fave tea for June?
Welcome to the forum!
This last month my best infusions were probably from several oolongs--a Fall 2009 Alishan Oolong from Norbu, the end of my spring 2009 Tie Guan Yin from the same source, and the Honoyama Shincha from Yuuki-Cha. Lots of other wonderful teas during the month, but I didn't do much full-on gongfu cha with any puerhs to really move them up this month's list.
This morning, I will start with the Honoyama again. Such a good idea.

No real favorite this month, it's been kind of a blah June for me. Here's to hoping for a better July!

Welcome sebpassion to the forum, glad you finally posted. Where were your selections from? Thanks.
Hope you have a much better July, Geeber, take two greens and report back!
Easy choice today, yet tough because there have been other great shincha! Like a few others today, Yutaka Midori Supreme from "the O-C" gets the nod! Amazing leaf that will buckle your knees if you are not following my suggestion of sitting down first.
Began the TD with a tasting of Kunpu from Den's! Shared some with SweeTea ... Koi and TEAh dropped by ...
