Saturday/Sunday TeaDay 7/3-4/10 Mid Term Grade for TeaChat?

by Chip » Jul 3rd, '10, 02:00

Announcement ... it is a new TeaDay ... just like every day! Therefore please drop in and share what is in your cup. And check out what others are drinking as well.

Friday we gave our vendors a mid term exam and grade. You can still vote and discuss Friday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Why not ... what is the "mid term" grade for TeaChat? Do any other TeaForums (vendor hosted or otherwise) reign supreme? Please share! What if anything would you like to see changed?

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

It gets an A, and is the best. Very happy that Adagio allow such a wealth of info and opinion on other vendors, and themselves.

I do on occasion stop by the cafe at B&B.

Den's Houryoku shincha via otti today, whilst trying to learn how to hone a razor. Yum.

A+ I love it here. Don't really know of any other tea forums except that green one. No desire to look anyway.

In my cup this morning NCTG Spring Monkey Picked Oolong.
Thanks Geek!

Have a nice day everyone!

This is the best, I give it an A. :) I've only visited one or two other tea forums, but this is the one with the most knowledgeable members and the most invested mod.

Rose congou in my cup this morning.

Grade A.

This is a more active place than other tea forums I've tried and used, I've learned a lot here, and the moderation is done with a light hand. I'm still involved in several others, but spend more time here in TeaChat because of the combination of high volume and high interest posts.

STarting saturday with Okuyutaka shincha from Yuuki-Cha. Mmmm!

TeaChat is the best, as far as I'm concerned! I have learned so much here and made some good TeaFriends, and I haven't had a need to seek out any other forums.

Tao of Tea's Black Spiral in my cup this morning. It's kinda windy and cold today, which I hope clears up, as we are going to a baseball game tonight and I really don't want to freeze!

Teachat is the bestest!

The only other tea forum I have looked at was teadrunk because of the yixing and clay discussions there. I only looked. I swear! No posting or anything :D

Oh what a great day. I tried O-chas Fukamushi sencha supreme and its amazing. Possibly my new favorite green tea or very close to long jing on my list. Also getting ready to set off some fireworks tonight.

An "A" from me. :)

Dawn, an organic black from India. Excellent tea from Simple Leaf. Three cups already today.

Yep yep, give it an A. It is exceptional on many fronts. That one guy posts too much, but besides that it rocks.

I have learned a lot, shared a lot, and been corrupted along the way. Never even knew what a Hagi was til TC for instance. It has been fun learning and sharing together along the way.

But the best part of the forum are its members and how they interact. Therefore TC is the best!

Great TD, beginning with more prelim tastings for OTTI Round 4, Shincha Encore. First up ... Takumi from Zencha. SweeTea was front and center while Koi and Gandalf stopped by the TeaTable.

Next up, Nishi Organic Shincha from Rishi with the Mrs. and finished with Sae Midori from also Rishi.

Gave an 'A' even so I have not looked at another tea forum since I sincerely believe TeaChat is really good. :!:

Sunday is coffee for breakfast. Now I am having Yunnan Bi Luo Chun brewed a la Chip's gong fu, really meaning 'to know how' in this case.

And this afternoon I will be into the big surprise when I try OTTI #3 Tie Guan Yin. Hope it turns out better than yesterdays Pouchong.
