Im just curious to other peoples sencha drinking habits. Im addicted to japanese greens, sencha and matcha in particular.
Im drinking about 4-5 pots of sencha a day on an average day. Each pot is about 4 oz of brew with 5 grams of tea, with two - three infusions.
Whats your sencha habit like?

I´m just starting to get into sencha but during the OTTI I´ve been drinking 3 or 4 250-300ml cups of sencha most of the days...a couple of days double that.
Usually that´s how much tea I drink but it hasn´t been sencha.

I do not always drink Sencha but when I do its typically over 40oz in one session. Stay thirsty my friends!
That being said its because I usually brew 7-11oz infusions, with 4-5 infusions per session.

I used to drink 3-5 sencha sessions a day, I have no idea how I did that without bouncing.
I shoot for 3, sometimes it is 2, and very rarely 4.
Each session is usually 5 steeps (or more), 5 ounces per steep +/-.

I was averaging about 4 gallons of spring water per week plus maybe another gallon per week at work. I'm now in-between jobs so that has increased to about a gallon per day since I'm home more now.
With the hotter summer weather here, I now drink quite a lot of iced tea. I find the lighter Chinese greens like An Ji Bai Cha and Long Jing to be excellent for iced tea. However, when I first tried them I was very disappointed. I then realized that I was using Poland Springs water for the tea and terrible quality tap water for the ice cubes. I now refill the ice cube trays with spring water, and it makes a huge difference. Two things; first, I am pouring relatively hot tea over the ice and second, the quality of water in my location is very poor. Living in another location or cooling the tea first might result in a less noticeable difference. Since I'm consuming the melted ice along with double-strength tea, I'm including this in the total gallons per week I consume.
Note: I know the question addressed sencha but I have no way of knowing exactly how much of each tea I consume. The majority of what I drink is sencha, and I also like iced sencha in the summer. Maybe 6 gallons per week for sencha and 1 gallon for Chinese and Taiwanese teas.

I totally read that in the Dos Equis guy voice.
I'm also with Adam on this one, I don't drink Sencha as much as I drink other teas. Never more than one session per day. However, with tea in general, I might have 3-4 long sessions in one day.

Haha, good at least someone got what I was going for!
I was thinking of my response and it started with "I don't always drink sencha..." and as there seems to have been an abundance of Dos Equis commercials on TV recently, I decided to play on that. (That and the fact that Stay Thirsty my friends, fits in perfectly with drinking over 40 oz in one infusion!)

This year I have been reducing my tea expenditure by 15%, so I usually have one 5 gram sencha session per day and I usually get five infusions. The amount of water that I use depends on the tea so that the best sencha gets 4 ounces of water, but I drink other sencha that taste delicious when brewed with 8 ounces. When my daughter is around I usually break out the good gyokuro, and that's always a budget-buster:-)

In the moment almost every day and once a day with 4-5 infusions.
I have to drink other tea too

I like it on a hot day. Gyokuro is better on colder days for my feeling.

good morning,
i normally have 3 sessions per day.
that means one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one at night.
when i drink on my own, i use my small gyokko kyusu that holds 4oz and most of the time i steep 4-5 times depending on the tea.
over the week it makes about 2 gallons.
enjoy your tea!

I drink my sencha mostly when I am at work, and I drink about 2 liters at work, then another liter or so when I come home. I have "longer" work days, which is why I can do that.

I drink Sencha after every meal. 3 times a day. It is typical Japanese tea drinking habit.

i must brew my tea incorrectly because i only get 2-3 steeps from it. I am probably steeping too long.
i drink Seneca at work 2-3 sessions with about 2 steeps each. so probably about 1 liter a day or so.
