Welcome everyone to a TeaRoom TeaDay. Please drop in and share what is in your cup with us throughout the day.
Friday we discussed TeaChat TeaShirts, yeah, that's right. You can still vote and discuss Friday's topic.
This weekend's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic. Join this if you want, it is just about getting to know each other a little bit more. Is there perhaps something NONtea about you that might surprise us? Please share it with us.
Regardless, please share what is in your cup throughout the day. Bottoms up.

Re: Saturday TeaRoom 7/10/10 Surprise us?
For breakfast I had Zhu Hai Jin Ming black tea. Good tea.
Late morning tea was Yunnan Silver Needle, ah so good
and soon coming up this afternoon
Wei Shan Mao Jian yellow tea a favorite of mine reserved for Saturday afternoon and
I drink it always from a 40 ml tenmoku giving it a special touch and view of the brew
inside the cup.

Wow that's a pretty good question... You realize how much tea defines you. Probably only the fact that I've freelanced a few pieces for a little maganize and edited one very little magazine
.
No tea yet...

Well, anyone who knows I'm a physics major is always surprised when they see me drawing or making clothes... And anyone who has only seen me do art-y stuff is always shocked to find out I'm a physics major!
Chrysanthemum pu-erh this morning. The last of one container. I would be sad, but I got another last time I tea-shopped, so it's all good!

Hmmmmm. I'll have to think about that. I've shared a lot about me in the 7 months I've been on TeaChat. (Probably more than anyone cares to know.
) But I'll cogitate on it.
This morning, GD Alex and I shared a pot of MF Marco Polo, while our dogs Barclay and Bella romped around our feet.

What would you like to know?
Actually, I'm pretty open about the non-tea aspects of my life, which I've shared a bit on here in the past.
The thing people are usually most surprised to learn about me is that I have very little post-secondary education (beyond trade school,) and it was my childhood religion that prevented it, and I had to leave that religion before I found the time and the courage to go to trade school. Now I am kicking around the idea of going to college for real (! at nearly 40 !!!
) to study physiology, which would be a massive expansion (I hope) of my area of expertise, which is orthopedic massage.
Fun stuff!
In my cup: Coffee. Jon made a massive pot of coffee this morning, and I cannot resist. Later, before it gets too stinkin' hot, I think I'll enjoy a cup or 5 of shincha from the OTTI.

Geek Girl, go to college! I started college at 34, after graduating high school at 16, and finally graduated college at 51, after having 3 granchildren. It was great; non-traditional age students don't have to worry about who they are going to sleep with that night!!!
I would probably would have gone on to get my masters but I developed breast cancer shortly after graduation and it's been downhill healthwise since then!
But I am an 18 year BC survivor!!!!
Well, there's a couple of things you didn't know about me.

I have likely said pretty much over the course of years, though I am pretty private really, but little slips along the way I guess.
I am a competitive road cyclist, extremely competitive by nature.
I have a creative side that wishes to come out and often manifests itself in unusual ways.
Great TD so far ... beginning with Sae Midori from the O-C followed by Yutaka Midori with the Mrs. also from the O-C.

Congrats Artmom!
Well I have been around for awhile so most of you know I also have a love of fragrances. I have a fragrance blog and I'm also a moderator on the largest fragrance board, Perfume of Life.
What you may not know is I also make jewelry and have an Etsy store. (But don't look now, it's virtually empty.) I have plans to add a line of tea related jewelry and some tea accessory items soon.
So far today, lots of Adagio Masters TKY!

I am like you in this one - and the quote spares me a few lines
Did I mention that I am a lazy guy?
Sometimes folding Origami - but not creative at all.
Going the way of the empty hand.
Loving the beautiness in the world - in nearly everything.
More to come - bit by bit.
Today has been a really hot day (36°C = 97°F) and a great teaday.
Had three cups of Matcha in the morning. Have spent the day in Vienna and had a Matcha Hikari and a really good Gyokuro (don't remember the name) there. It has been temomi cha.
And now I enjoy Den's Genamaicha before going to bed.
ciao
Marco

To those who have shared a part of themselves today, thank you. It helps me picture you more easily, besides only sitting in the lotus position with your teacup, yunomi, etc. in hand!
I must admit, Chip, that I had a completely different picture of you in mind than a competitive road cyclist!!!!

Re: Saturday TeaRoom 7/10/10 Surprise us?
I am a superhero, chef, detective, and race-car driver.
No, really, I don't think there is anything really surprising about me. I am a manager but I hate telling people what to do. I like to sew but rarely do anymore. And I have trouble sleeping at night.
This morning I enjoyed some Adagio Black Dragon Pearls before it got too hot, and for the rest of the day sipped Nilgiri Tiger Hill, iced. This was one of those that came very chopped up and is really only good for iced tea. It still needs a little sweetener and some lemon to make it worthwhile - I couldn't stand to throw 4 oz. away!
