Got my dahongpao today

by time » Jul 22nd, '10, 09:07

Hi all.

New here in this forum. Found it on the internet.
I got my 3rd yixing teapot today. This one is from Yunnan sourcing.
A nice dahongpao ni teapot. I will use it for mye old puerh teas.

Now almost completed; one for puerh, one for oolong, one for green/white and a tenmoku/tianmu(天木) chawan for Japanese matcha and Chinese Song dynasty matcha tea.

Guten Abend. Danke.

Here in north is 9C and rain - all the time. :(

I am enjoy my first 2005 puerh in the new teapot inside. Enjoy yours.

Regarding matcha:
I use organic Japanese matcha in a Song dynasty style of drinking and making. I like the original way and history of the powder tea. China now today makes very little matcha and they have "forgotten" their orgin of the matcha due to Mongolian and Manchurian invasions and rules. I will learn more and teach my children that so the history of matcha keeps its orgin.

Here is a simple kind of Song matcha preparation on youtube...

Welcome, looking forward to your posts. :)

If you're wondering why your pictures didn't show up, it was because they were too big. I resized this one for you. Right click on it and save it to your computer.

Hi.

Thanks.
Yes, the pictures are too big. There are taken right out of the camera.
(I use my wife's mac. Mine is "gone". Cannot find the resize function in mac.)

Here is one more of all my three yixings.

I love the yixing clay - lovely and perfect for tea.

I think tea and teapots might be the new collection hobby :)

hi time you join us, and hi time!

You can edit your photos in photobucket. Click on edit as you scroll over the photo. Then just resize. 640 is the max width allowed, but 500ish range is generally better in this format.
