Wednesday is offially a TeaDay! So plan drinking lots of tea and sharing it with us here throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed rejuvenating teas. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Christmas in July, someone gave you the last tea on the planet (though from a reputable company) you would buy for yourself. Do you drink it, pass it on however you can, toss it? Please share what this tea would be, and of course what you would do with it.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 7/28/10 Christmas in July?
WOH!!! ZOMG!!
For shame, lure us in with pretty talk of 'christmas' and then scare the bejeezuz out of us! Geez.
May such a day never, ever, ever come.
Voted 'other'.
I would drink it. Might share it. Definitely would make it last, stretch it out. And keep it very, very carefully and respectfully and vacuum sealed.
I believe tea is powerful medicine.
Sheeesh.
Hope I can sleep.

I would try it first, and then probably mix it with other teas or add flavorings to it so that it would be palatable. I would then keep it with my other teas to offer to guests, etc. I wouldn't want to have to feel guilty when the person that gave me asked me "how are you enjoying the tea I bought you?"

If it was anything other than a GREEN , I'd try it first; if I didn't like it, I would see if someone else did and pass it on.
If it was a GREEN I would give it to my not so mythical granddaughter and let her make it for me to try. Then, she would probably get it!
A local friend on Facebook posted this:
"Local weather reported that today was the 43rd day this year with temperature over 90 degrees. It looks like we have 3 more days this week. Last year we had 13 days over 90."
Plan to try a new sample today, after Lochan's Golden Lion this morning.

"Other" - I would likely try it, then pass it on or toss.
This morning - trying hard to finish up one pack of Balasun Darjeeling from
Special Teas. I will finish it this week. It's very good, really enjoying it, but I need to get though and finish off quite a few open packages. So I'm sticking with this one for breakfast till it's done.
Stay cool Artmom!

Am sipping Organic Kagoshima Koucha from yuuki-cha.com It is my first black tea grown in Japan. Makes a nice smooth tea. I think it will be a good tea for breakfast, or with food any time of the day.

I would pass it on to one of my friends, so that at least the tea could be appreciated by someone. Fortunately, a lot of my friends have very different tastes in tea than I do, so that's never a problem.

Assuming I had not already had it previously, I'd at least give it a try or two, and then if I just couldn't stomach it, pass it on to someone who's tastebuds could appreciate it.

I would at least give it a try. Would pass it on if I knew someone that may enjoy it.

try it, then give away or feed to the worms, depending on the results. I don't really have any use for tea that I don't want to drink straight: don't drink it iced/spiced or otherwise where I might hide a less than delightful tea.

'Other.' I would at least try it, if I didn't like it I would try giving it to someone else who might enjoy it. If that wasn't possible, I'd probably put it in my cabinet for a few years before throwing it away.
I just happen to have a few boxes there now for the same reason!

Most likely certain flavored teas if gifted to me, I would hope to find a home for. Certain flavors in any food or beverage, I just do not like. Period. Most likely, almost any flavored tea I would try to find a new home for.
Pretty good TD, beginning with Yutaka Midori from O-Cha, SweeTea was predictably present while Gandalf and Ceylon stopped by the TeaTable.
Next up, anon asamushi shincha. And currently Kirameki also from O-Cha.

I would try it. If it was dreadful, it could always be used to tea stain fabric.

I'd probably try it, then depending on the outcome thereof, either pass all of it on to others or keep it - or a little bit of both!
Snowbud all day at work, some Fujian Baroque with dinner. A bit of a reverse from normal, but it's good to change things up every now and then, I suppose. I can tell tomorrow's going to be a low-tea day, given my schedule, but maybe I can get in 2 teas at work!
