Yesterday we discussed our fave teas for the month of July. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Time for second half of the year predictions ... and you have two days to consider and answer! Do you expect more of the same, or are changes in the wind? So, please share.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with eveyone, bottoms up.

First one on this :)
I expect major changes. - Why? - hey I am in the beginning of my tealife - call me a teapuppy ;)
I am this fascinated and so curious - wanna try everything. Can't help this - I solely have to.
Got the teaware fever here - so there will have to come more teaware and more tea and there is a lot of things to learn and to try.
It's really great to have such nice teafolks on my side - TC rules! :)

No tea yet - just a cup of coffee in the morning - tea coming next.

At my age, minor changes are what I expect. I don't see any reason to drink tea that I don't enjoy "for health benefits," but do expect some minor changes in the particular teas I drink, mostly black.

My Golden Lion in my cup this morning. :D

Minor changes for me-- I'm mostly going to try new varieties of teas I already like, maybe sample a few new tisanes. I am thinking of getting some heicha though.

Rose congou in my cup right now.

As a new serious tea drinker I do expect changes, but minor ones. I'm really enjoying my teas now so can't think of giving them up lol, but am looking forward to trying oolongs and other teas I have yet to explore. I have a feeling I may end up replacing some of my pu-erh teas with oolongs once I figure out what I like lol. I started drinking teas and tisanes for the health benefits but am enjoying them more and more for their taste which is also a change. I'm drinking Adagio Strawberry black tea now with a little sweetener and evaporated milk. :)

I expect major changes.

First, because I've improved my brewing expertise and equipment these last few months, putting into practice on the OTTI samples what I've learned on Teachat.

Second, I'm moving back to chinese greens for a while, and my first order directly from China is on it's way as I type this. I ordered 4 "samples" from Teaspring - actually 25 gram packages - really enough for 8 or 9 sessions. Included is a very top of the line Tai Ping Hou Kui.

Interesting on both points. I actually expect OTTIs to change my tea selection as well over the second half of the year!!!

I also expect to see Chinese greens making a resurgence in my personal selections. I also expect that this will enhance the enjoyment of Japanese greens!

I expect minor changes, probably more Puerh drinking. Most likely more Japanese greens as well.

Also, I'd like to really dive into Wuyi Yancha and Chinese whites sometime in the future.

2004 Changtai "Ji Feng Yuan" today. Wow! I am really glad I bought a cake of this. Definitely some wet storage here, but I don't mind it and in fact I think it helps to bring out some of the mossier flavors. Recommended.

Any changes will be very minor--slight shifts in proportions of greens and oolongs, maybe, or Chinese and Japanese; no more than that.

Thanks for the good wishes. All went well, and the kyusu is getting a workout again...

I expect minor changes for the second half the year. But since I included a couple samples of Pu Erh (which is a first for me) in my last order, who knows!

Started today with Spring Darjeeling from Adagio, then Uji Sencha Miyabi from O-Cha. Next up - Kiri no Mori Matcha. A great tea day!

Not likely to see a lot of changes in the rest of the year here.

Lots of shincha and sencha (when the shincha runs out) in the morning, then alternating puerhs, and oolongs, and occasional white, green, yellow, black, and the occasional unclassifiable teas. I've tried a little of most every kind of tea that I have heard of, and while there are undoubtedly a few that I haven't heard of yet, I doubt any will sweep me off my tastebuds enough to induce drastic changes in the near term.

Today, started with shincha (Okuyutaka from Yuuki-cha), and now I'm comparing several loose Mao Cha from Norbu. These teas have long enough 'legs' that I may not get to much else for the rest of the night.

Likely minor changes in the rest of the year - more oolong, different vendors, etc.

Yunnan Noir with lunch, since I got to sleep in a bit today I didn't have any tea earlier than 11! Fujian while at work tonight, I ended up leaving it for several minutes (once I got past the first steep) and it never got bitter on me. Definitely up for reorder.

some pretty major changes...I´m making an effort to explore green teas, especially from Japan...which is a new tea genre for me. I´ll most likely go back to my old favourite...roasty oolongs...when the weather gets cold again though.

Chip, you asked before what I'd been drinking and the sad answer is "not tea". My kettle died and I found this forum while researching a new one. My old kettle did no more than boil water, but now I have a Pino Pro and a GraviTEA on the way. So I picked "major changes" because I'm sure that will make a big difference, especially since I mainly drink green tea and won't have to guess at the temperature anymore. And reading the forum makes me want to try different kinds of tea.
