Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is ... which cup is your favorite cup of tea on a typical day? And of course why?

first tea...I usually only have one session in a day unless I didn´t get many steeps out of it.

I start off with a black tea to wake me up. So the second tea is the best, when I am awake and have my first oolong of the day.

I always enjoy the first tea of the day the most.

In my cup this morning, raw-Pu-erh home blend... basicially all the odds and ends of cakes/samples thrown together into a tin to see what happens, an idea I stole from Hobbes!

Probably the third or fourth. That's usually around the time I've already done everything I have to do, so it's a relaxed cup of tea.

Tasting some 2010 longjing soon, hope it's better than the 2010 biluochun I tried yesterday... And I'll try some maté, I got three pounds of the stuff, and I don't even drink it :s.

The best tea of the day for me is the FIRST!

It is always a sencha, always shared with Chip ... that is the best part! Oops, and can't forget the kitties.

This morning, a delightful brew of YM from O-Cha served in a beautiful Hagi sansai Wan. Couldn't start the day off any better than that!

Morning teas get me going and I have a hard time savoring them.

Around early afternoon I get a chance to savor my tea and usually make one of the better ones around then.

First tea of the day.... but a long margin.

Nothing like the smell of the sencha to start the morning off right....followed soon by the taste.

Daily ritual... my own informal "tea ceremony". Every day....almost without fail.

Each of my tea sessions throughout the day has its own feeling-- the morning one wakes me up, those in the afternoon help me calm down when I'm not yet done for the day and need to keep at least a bit of sanity , but my favorite is the last tea. I drink it half an hour or so before I go to bed, and it helps me completely unwind.

I'd say first tea of the day, but only because I have been looking forward to it, since I cannot drink caffine past early afternoon.

Started today with Yunnan noir, then Shincha Moe from OTTI!

It's not predictable. Some days that start is just right, some days it's a quiet cuppa at the end of the day, sometimes a sip in the middle of a hectic clinic is just what I need.

Yesterday, best cup was probably an end-of-the-day in the middle of a gongfu session with the 2007 Menghai silver Dayi sheng puerh from Norbu.

Started the day with some YS label Puerh, nice session. Planning on brewing up a Wuyi soon.

I've also been doing this, but have not tried it yet. How did it turn out? Mine is a shu/sheng mix so it'll be interesting whenever I get around to sampling it.

My favorite cup of tea is the one I have after I get off work and just unwind. Which number that ends up being for the day depends on if I ended up with a morning or evening shift!
