My indoor photography often lacks what I am trying to capture so I have taken the plunge and ordered a light tent set. In the meantime I have been drinking many Yan Cha's from Jing (UK), DTH, IPT and more.
But back in June when the garden was flooded with sunshine, and some new teaware had arrived I was finishing off some of last year's Jiu Jiu Jiu from wan Ling before this years had arrived.
I had ordered 3 items from Bill at Splitfire and was unsure of the dimensions and one cup was too large for my Oolong drinking, but as a thankyou Bill had thrown in a freebie (square) which is a perfect size.
The pitcher at first seemed too big and clumsy to use as a faircup, but in practice it worked very well and was a comfort to hold and use.
The small teabowl is nice, and good to look at, hold and drink from.

I brewed the tea in a new acquisition from Petr Novak, and used Bill's pitcher before alternating drinking from Bill's cups and Petr's cups.

The teapot is a little larger than my usual ones, so I opened 2 bags of Jiu Jiu Jiu - foil packets with interior poly wraps.
The dry leaf of the tea looked as bright as last year (it had spent it's storage life in the refrigerator).
The infusions were delightful
the new teaware enhanced the experience
and I spent a very pleasant afternoon in the garden
