I'll just bring a couple of tea-glasses. I love to see the leaves unfold and the colour change, so I do it grandpa style in a glass. Also since I'm new to this I don't have too much special equipment ;)

On my last trip overseas, I packed a cheap but good quality yixing pot and several thin porcelain cups. 2 were broken by airline monkeys, not the actual monkeys.

Next time I will take a cheap gaiwan and much thicker cups.

Special cups primarily, because I'm now presuming the teaCruise will have plenty of things like hot water dispensers set for every 5 degrees between 140 and 210, kept topped up with fine spring waters, and I usually brew up my puerh in simple gaiwans, which I presume the teaCruise will have in abundance. But I'd look forward to other teas brewed in other teaChatter's favorite pots, and perhaps finally tasting enough different teas brewed in seasoned yixings vs in plain gaiwans to 'get' the difference.

I checked "Other." My steward will have laid in all the Teaware on the list my social secretary has provided; and he will have shared the list with the staff for my low tea event each afternoon. My minions take good care of me! :D

My most important peice of teaware is my insulated carafe. I can make due with whatever cups/gaiwan the ship has available, but i hate making multiple trips to the hot water faucet (or repeatedly heating water), especially if i am drinking a tea where i do multiple infusions in an hour. Some call it lazy, i call it convenience.

Starting out the day with norbu silver needle. Not my fave, more bitter and not as sweet as other silver needles i have tried, definately wont order again, but drinkable.

A water filter - the tea cruise organizers might have too much faith in the quality of their water.

Still playing with my 2 tasting cup sets - tai ping hou kui brewed two different ways this morning.

I only have one pot right now, and it's kind of tiny. So I'd just bring my favorite cups, one of which is recently back in service after being broken while travelling home for the summer.

Chrysanthemum pu-erh right now.

I need a TeaTrunk!

Seeing that they will take extra care ... a decent variety of wares.
A Gyokuro set, a sencha set, and a Gaiwanesque set for starters.

Maybe an extra kyusu for Skippyandjif.

Some accessories including a kit including digital thermometer, timer, scale. Water is big! I hope I don't have to drag along the graviTea.

And they let me know, an electric kettle will be provided for every room (can you imagine the energy drain that would cause during peak times).

Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from the O-C. SweeTea showed up and Lili passed by the TeaTable.

Is this the Yunnan Silver Needle? While I've enjoyed some of the interesting Yunnan variations on teas traditionally made elsewhere--like the wonderful 'Oriental Beauty' I got from Yunnan Sourcing last fall, or the Mao Feng green tea from Norbu--some of them are definitely not as refined as counterparts made elsewhere. I've got some of this same Silver Needle in my cupboard, and you've piqued my curiosity to try it sooner....

Starting the teaDay with a thermos full of Diamond Tie Guan Yin from Norbu.

Nope, I don't trust anything special for travel, no matter the guarantee.
I would bring a couple non-important cups and a gaiwan.

In my cup this morning Nada Sun Moon Black.

I'd travel light and base the entire cruise on borrowing teaware from Chip :D

Yeah, it is the 2009 actually,i bought it earlier this year (before 2010 was available) because i thought it looked like a good deal. I didnt realize that silver needle would taste different depending on where it was grown/processed (still pretty new to tea).

I'd bring a gaiwan and maybe a few small cups. That's pretty much all I need.

2007 Hongcha from YS to start the day. I've found I like my yunnan blacks with a few years on 'em. Takes away the weird sour notes you can get with fresh Hongcha.
