Introduction and Online Retailers

by quiddlet » Aug 10th, '10, 17:28

Hey everybody...

New here and apparently this is where the introduction happen so... yeah, hi.

Wasn't sure where to ask this... I was introduced to the tea world by a couple of small tea shops and then Teavana... over the last few months I've switched to ordering most of my teas online from Adagio and one tea from Teavana I'm addicted to... I was wondering if there were any other online retailers to speak of I should be aware of?

Thanks!

Lots and lots and lots. Here is the TeaVendor Guide that lists pretty many by category ... http://www.teachat.com/viewforum.php?f=60

Give us some idea of what teas you like, and we can tailor vendor suggestions for that type of tea.

No one vendor can cover the whole range of teas equally well.

Thanks for the help!

The tea I've still been buying from Teavana is a flavored black Earl Grey Cream that I find is really great in the morning for getting the day started.. (Is it just me or does Teavana excel at flavored teas and blends more than anything else?). I've been trying some black teas from the Adagio sampler and have enjoyed both Golden Monkey and Yunan Jig... I also purchased the chai sampler and really liked the Thai Chai though some of the teas included were a bit fruity for me (apple especially). I really enjoy Rooibos teas in general... The one thing I have to admit is that amongst all the great loose leaf tea I've been consuming lately I still have a guilty soft spot for chai tea latte's from starbucks :O ... I think they make them with the tazo chai (If someone could help me... traditional american "chai" is actually masala chai, right?) and I'm still looking for a chai that I like as much as that... it reminds me too much of Christmas!

Thanks for any help,
