Weekend TeaDay 8/14-15/10 Poll about polls.

by Chip » Aug 14th, '10, 01:26

Greetings TeaChatter and welcome to another TeaDay. Please do drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we escaped to a LOST deserted Island. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

This weekends TeaRoom Poll and discussion topic. Crazy topic I read on a forum about forums (yeah, seriously). Do you like forum polls? Please share if you think they are useful and helpful in generating discussions. Or whatever ...

Feel free to shoot the breeze as the topic is "open topic" this weekend!

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.

+1!

No tea yet, about to head out to the salon, so I'm fixing some up to take with me.

In the context that you keep them here on TeaChat, they are good. Sometimes they spark discussion, sometimes they are simply fun. They add "character" to the place.

best,

I don't post as often as I should, but I usually at least vote! I can't imagine TeaChat without the polls! Chip you are so creative coming up with new topics every day.

Started today with Wuyi Da Hong Pao, and am working on a session of Uji Sencha Miyabi from O-Cha - delicious!

I think the polls are definitely useful! They are creative and help to spark good conversations.

Pu-erh in my cup this morning, probably to be followed by some iced tea.

+1 on your comments laura99, on the creative part especially!

I agree with all the assessments posted by TCers. The polls also help us to get to know one another better. 8) They definitely are the best part of TeaDay.

Thanks Chip for keeping all of us in touch with each other each day.

Started today with Sae Midori from O-Cha - delicious! Catz were lazy early this morning, only Pyrit showed up for treats, while Lili again wanted to be a lapcat.

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy what's in your cup.

I think we all agree that they are a fun part of our day. The people who would vote that they don't like them probably don't participate on the TeaDay threads.

No tea yet, just got up after trying to see shooting stars in the wee hours of the morning. I wasn't highly successful, I only saw six or seven, then got cold and went inside.

Polls are fun, a nice diversion. Thumbs up for Chip for constantly coming up with new questions.
Just had a cup of Huang Jin Bolero.

I guess I would have to agree they do generate discussions. But it's a lot of work. Most forums do not have them. We are now spoiled by having them, so we would miss them. Yet the inspiration of TeaDay, was initially a place to just come and discuss what tea you are having during the day.

I like the fact Chip is now combining the weekends into one flowing thread, and giving himself a break. And also the "Discuss whatever you want" formats, to allow for a break in having to come up with polls.

In my cup this morning lovely Turzum Darjeeling from Tea Emporium.

Unfortunately I waited until this morning, being an early bird, and woke up to a completely overcast sky :(

Some dragon pearls in my cup this afternoon.
