by Chip » Aug 16th, '10, 02:06

Happy happy happy TeaDay everyone. Won't you please share your TeaHappiness with us? Share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Last couple days we just discussed whether we liked polls on TeaChat. You can still vote and discuss the weekend's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. The TeaYear is 2020, will tea still reign supreme for you? Or is tea a passing fancy? Please share your thoughts.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay through 2020 with everyone. Bottoms up.

I think I will still be drinking tea, and enjoying it very much. I doubt that I will be spending as much time in the then-current incarnations of places like this, because something else will have captured my interest to the point of obsession. But I will still be drinking tea.

Unfortunately, Sunday's tea day was cut untimely short by not feeling well; here's hoping for a better tomorrow.

I think I'll still be happily chugging down the tea in ten years' time. The only thing I can imagine that would divert me from the TeaPath would be if someone discovered that it was unhealthy for some reason. Or if the price became forbiddingly high. None of those things seem likely, though.

No tea so far today, but I have a hankering for Dragon Well. We'll see if that's how it turns out.

I very much expect tea to be a friend and companion for the rest of my life.

Sipping water now.

Tea will definitely still be my drink of choice! I fully plan to have at least a tiny bit of my workspace dedicated to tea (like an electric kettle, etc.).

The last of my lapsang souchong is in my cup this morning. I have to get more when I'm visiting my father next week.

I've been drinking tea for as long as I can remember... don't expect that to change anytime soon.

I expect that Tea will always reign supreme. I see no reason to change a good thing.

Turzum Darjeeling from Tea Emporium to start the day.

In 10 years I hope to have a nice supply of semi-aged Puerh for my drinking pleasure. :) That's the plan anyway, we'll see how it turns out. I don't plan to stop drinking tea anytime soon.

Started the day with Sencha of the deep-steamed variety. Not bad, nice in the morning.

In other news, my Nadacha order arrived today. 2 cakes and samples of all his 2010 pressings. Also included are samples of 1997 Bulang and 1996 8582. Lots of sampling to do! Mmmmm. :D

I also noticed today that Floating Leaves is having a 15% off sale for unknown reasons (to me).

Must.. resist... temptations!

Again, John said it for me. If I'm still around in 2020 (I'll be 80), I may be receiving it intravenously. :D

As long as i need caffeine, tea will have a place in my life. I cant drink coffee so that leaves tea and sodas. Since tea is much better for you than sodas, tea is my primary caffeine supplier, an occasional soda thrown in when i dont have time for tea.

Starting the day with a mystery puerh i picked up this weekend. supposedly 18 yrs old, looseleaf, but only $6/oz so a little suspicious but i decided to give it a try. not great, but not bad.

I hope you feel better soon debunix.

I suspect tea will always reign suppreme for me. I just picked up the addiction a few years ago but it feels like I have been enjoying it forever like an old friend and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

tie luo han this morning

+1!
Mao Feng Noir at home this morning, Peppermint Twist here at work.

I'm having a weird problem with tea making at home. I am using the same teas, same amount of tea, same amount of water and water source, same pot as usual, but my brews have been coming out bitter. 90% black teas, (greens have been okay with cooled water) water at 208 from Zoji. I thought my scale might be wrong, but the cover (which I use to measure the tea into) is still the same weight before taring.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?
