Every time I fill my IngenuiTEA pot with hot water, the filter pops out and the tea leaves get underneath it. This has even blocked the teapot open, so that lifting it off of the teacup doesn't stop the flow of tea.
I've tried just about everything. I have tried pouring in the center, pouring on the side, pouring slowly, pouring quickly, pouring down the side of the teapot, etc.
Can anyone please help me? This is getting
so frustrating.

Is it one of the new ingenuitea's or the old?
I have an old 32oz and haven't ever run into that problem. Then again, I fill it with water and heat the water by microwave and then add the tea...so I've never encountered the tea getting trapped under the filter.
Is this a design flaw of the new ingenuiteas?
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.

It's got to be a design flaw of the new one as the older ones don't have removable filters.

Heat your water and pour a small amount in the bottom of the pot before adding the leaves, wait a few seconds so the filter's frame expands. Then add leaves and the rest of the water. This method usually works for me

drop us an email and I'm sure Richard will be able to send you a replacement filter.

Yes; as far as I can tell the problem is indeed with the filters--occasionally the filter that comes with the ingenuiTEA is a hair too small. Using a new filter will solve the problem, so send that e-mail and we'll work out getting one to you.
