Welcome as always everyone to another Weekend TeaDay. Please drop by and share what is in your cup throughout the weekend!
Friday we discussed the Crave factor for Black teas. You can still vote and discuss Friday's topic.
This weekend's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic has nothing to do with tea, just a break from the TeaTalk for a change. If you turn on the TV, what do you watch? Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this Teaday with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Weekend TeaRoom TeaDay 9/18-19/10 Choose your TV poison?
If I'm not watching sports, my TV has only two channels...The History Channel and A&E.
Reality based shows- something like Jersey Shore- is my own version of Hell.
Have a great weekend,
EricW

Travel and Documentaries (if you can find any on cable).
Last thing I watched on cable was Anthony Bourdain / No Reservations.
I love NetFlix Watch Instantly, which has 6-7 seasons of this show, Wild China, and plenty of other great documentaries.
I spend a lot more time in front of the computer than the television, but I will admit that sometimes television comes to the computer more often than it should. (Watched all of Arrested Development in a matter of weeks.)

Hummmm....... in general, not much TV.
I have NHK on satelite... so when I can it is Japanese programming of all sorts. Helps keep my ear attuned to the sounds and patterns of Japanese language. Travelogues, cultural programming.... and of course SAMURAI dramas
.
Other than that, mainly occasionaly watching of the History channel or the Travel channel of Food Network when somthing interests me.
However, I have to admit that I'm pretty much addicted to two shows...... "Ghost Hunters" on SciFi, and "Bones". So usually 2 hours per week shot to heck right there.
best,
...............john

I also spend more time in front of the computer than t.v. but when I do watch, I enjoy sitcoms (especially the old ones like I Love Lucy), Fox News, cooking programs and Dr. OZ. I am also an American Idol fan.

Usually what I watch isn't for me... There is a lot of Scooby Doo, Phineas & Ferb, Disney Channel, Alvin & The Chipmunks, and Shawn the Sheep. It is the will of the 3 yr old.

Other favorites of mine are LOST, House, & Dexter. Seinfeld is great, too.
No tea yet today, I'm thinking Sencha.

Re: Weekend TeaRoom TeaDay 9/18-19/10 Choose your TV poison?
I turn on the TV to watch movies from DVD and to play video games (mostly Wii) I generally do not watch actual TV broadcasts because it´s mostly trash...and if you find a broadcast that isn´t trash you still have to put up with advertisements...which are the worst part of TV I think.
Re: Weekend TeaRoom TeaDay 9/18-19/10 Choose your TV poison?
We watch dvd's of long gone TV shows. Arrested Development, Flight of the Choncords, The Wire. We don't subscribe to cable and all that. There just isn't enough good stuff to justify the expense in my opinion. No doubt I would watch more soccer and baseball...as well as history related stuff if we did have a tv package.
Lots of h&s standard sencha this morning and now on to a cup of kenilworth op.
