by Chip » Sep 20th, '10, 00:43

Greetings TeaFriends and welcome to another TeaDay. Please drop in throughout the day and share what is in your cup.

This past weekend we talked about TV. You can still vote and discuss this past weekends topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. "TeaTracker." When it comes to shopping for tea and TeaChat, currently are you more of a follower or a leader in your search for the newest and/or best TEAs? Please share.

I am looking forward to sharing the episode of TeaTracker with everyone. Bottoms up.

Definitely my own leader/tracker, tho I do listen to some recommendations.
At the end I always follow my own sense of taste and smell.

Sipping now an interesting mix of puerhs.

Middle of the road for me. I have learned about some amazing teas by following suggestions given here on TC, as well as from samples traded with other TCers. But in the end, you need to go with what you like and not necessarily what everyone else is drinking.

No tea yet, but that will change very soon. Happy Monday everyone!

Definitely a follower. Just too new to the game here to track out on my own.

Yunnan Jig this morning. Hoping some of the new things I've ordered show up before I run out!

I'm with Pam, though I'm willing to try out unknowns as well.

I agree with Pam. I'm new at this so I'm pretty much taste testing with sampler packs already put together. I've also been reading blogs and watching various podcasts for info/recommendations. I'll start "tracking" once I get the basics down.

I'm drinking Irish Breakfast this morning.

Middle of the road.

I follow; I lead. Which is not important to me, just as long as I enjoy my Tea. :)

A nice cuppa' Harney & Sons English Breakfast this morning, especially nice because my GD made it for me. :D

Starting tea drinking before TC and other invaluable resources, by necessity I was a TeaTracker. So to this day, certainly a TeaTracker for the most part, especially with greens.

Aside from greens, I would still lean towards tracker but am listening and following as well. Pu-erh however I need all the help I can get!

Began the TD ironically with a sencha that I received from a TCer, one that maybe I would never had heard of otherwise ... you can teach an old dog new tricks. SweeTea enjoyed the brew while Pyrit and Shincha were passive observers at the TeaTable.

Our TeaTable is always full of surprises!

Currently in my cup a delightful Mao Feng.

I am with artmom, middle of the road currently, but I must admit that circumstances afford me the chances to try lots and lots of teas!

Have a wonderful TeaDay everyone.

I'm guilty of trying the oddest and strangest things I can find...always looking for that diamond in the rough.

Tea Tracker

I know what I like and what I want from a tea, but I do like being recommended a tea I'd like.

If you had asked me 6 months ago, I would have replied that I am a tracker with a straight face. But, since finding this place, I have a lot more perspective. The world is no longer flat and I am 100% A-OK with calling myself a follower. So much to learn...

Nothing new here on the tea today, same old H&S sencha this morning, and some Kenilworth Garden Op this afternoon.

HOW and EVER, I did place my first order with O-Cha this weekend, good follower that I am...

Middle of the road for me, I have always been a leader all of my life, but the more I learn about tea the more it becomes clear I need to learn, so I'm a follower too now lol. I'm enjoying a cup of fennel seed tea (tisane) now. :)

I'm not sure I'm really either right now. I guess more than anything, on this site only, I'm more of a follower because I don't post a lot outside of here, but in life I'm more of a leader and explorer. I'm going with middle of the road for now.

Drinking more homemade chai. I need to start making this in bulk.
