puerh shop closed...help

by maldoror » Sep 27th, '10, 06:05

i need a domestic US source to keep my supply flowing as i'm running low.
i drink ripe tea daily...all day...non stop.
i'm just getting through the lady in red and the 7562...liking the 7562.
i also enjoyed this 06 menghai gongting for it's dark brew:

i guess jas is an option...are there any other sources in the US that have decent selections of ripe tea?

can anyone recommend any menghai ripe teas from jas...of the ones in stock there? there's a lot of numbers and years that all look the same...any that stand apart? (other than white lotus)

thanks
andy

The 09 Menghai 7572 is quite good....but I have the 901 batch and it looks like he is selling the 903 now.

Based on Jas-etea's ripe selection, I have tried the below sorted from the top (liked most) to bottom (liked lesser). All are good.

It sounds like you should have a little more tea in your storage next time :)

Assuming I don't buy any more tea, I roughly counted... I think enough to drink for 13 years everyday at 5g.

It's scary if I look at it as 2g sessions, given even the small number of beengs I've got, and average of only 2-6 sessions/week. But if I add in the 5-10g I use for a thermos full, and chunks shared out for samples & gifts, there is some hope of drinking most of it eventually......although some of the less lovely pieces might indeed get 'chopped' one day.
