My favorite teas are bold Assam's, so I think Intense fits well.

I don't think I prize one character over the others. I think I tend to like teas that contain obvious character, and it could be one of any of those listed. In other words, the best teas are the ones that demonstrate one or more of those characters better than all the rest in it's class. An intense tea can be just as good as a mellow one and vice versa. The drinker's mood makes the choice.

This morning, I'm having kaoru supreme yutaka midori. The color of this brew is so much a part of the experience.

Each tea that I like has a specific character that draws me to it. And those specific characters are what I look for when I want a soothing, stimulating, brisk, exciting, ad infinitum tea. Hence, I have no choice to check in the poll. :D

I'm looking for a warming, brisk cuppa' this morning, so will probably go with Black Dragon Pearl. :)

I had to go with rejuvenating, since it kind of covers some of the other characters as well. :)

Torn between warming and calming, so I went with the one that got me started drinking tea in the first place.

Besides, come Canadian winter, warming is sure appreciated.

Starting my day with some mystery Yunnan that my bro-in-law bought me for no discernible reason.

Overall and in general Soothing, I guess. Although, all have and do apply at different times. Soothing seems to cover the bases.

Started the day with Blue Himalayan; I'm almost out of this wonderful tea.

Another scorcher due here today, it was 85° in my office when I walked in this morning.

I´d say relaxing is the most important...I´m a very anxious person and drinking tea can help me deal with some of that anxiety...I´d say it´s one of the more important aspects of tea for me.

Close second is the warming effects...I live in a cold climate and I get chilled easily even during the summer. :?

After much deliberation, I think the soothing quality of tea is my favorite part. I drink tea while working, and the tea makes it less stressful, somehow.

I haven't had any tea today, and now it's too late. Sic transit etc.

I go for soothing, generally, but I appreciate all characters depending on my mood.

Wuyi yancha with my very late lunch. Warm, soothing, and generally excellent on this drizzly, windy day.

Good replies! A most unfair question/options. Perhaps multiple options would have been a better path today.

Right now, with this sencha, it is INTENSE. This may be the character that drew me more to Japanese greens than any other, but I stayed for many other characters!

Began the TD with an INTENSE sencha. SweeTea enjoyed the sencha while Pyrit and Shincha enjoyed the treats. And continuing with a prelim tasting of Fuji SP from Zencha.

"Rejuvenating" for me. I find all tea to be rejuvenating, although it might be more the process of brewing and sipping, than anything in the actual tea itself.

Rose congou earlier this afternoon, just finished some chrysanthemum tea.

Rejuvenating

One of the teas that got me obsessed with tea in the beginning was TAZO Zen Green tea which I first had in St.Augustine at my favorite cafe and it was so.....well...Rejuvenating....that's just the perfect word for how it made me feel...lol
